Also I dont think he should be blowing his own trumpet too much about the handling of it. Yeah they covered it up well with a band aid 3 year warranty that doesn't apply to every issue, but their fixing of the issue itself was very, very, very slow. Very.

Any other product and any other company would have had a FULL RECALL for a 1/3rd failure rate. Never forget that. They are lucky to still be here. All M$ showed is they can, and will buy their way out of almost anything.

If hardware has actually gotten better, I'd like to hear about it. I know we dont get all the RROD stories anymore but that could be because everytime we do Bots all cry about it and report it claiming old news. If the amount of breakdowns have died down we should be told. Anyone actually know for sure if things are better or has it just been swept under the carpet? Mine is over a year running strong now (not that it gets used much) but I know half the time I see a display unit they are broke.

He fails to explain WHY there was such an issue.

Just a little side-note for ya here: The industry average failure rate for consumer electronics is between 3 and 5 percent.

I didn't have any other devices on except for my TV and my 360, and in the middle of Bioshock....it shorted out my entire room. I sat there in the dark for about 10 minutes....wondering....who in the hell lets these bullsh!t systems get past inspection?

I know PS3 owners are using RROD as a crutch. I'm a PS3 owner myself, mostly due to the fact of the 360 breaking on me 4 times.

I will not tolerate a "fix" or a "coverup" or an "extension to my warranty"

Remember when the ps2 had Disk read error problems? I had to replace my PS2 three times,Twice i had to pay for it to get fixed,third time ijust excnahnged it a walwart.

Sony finaly fixed it when they made the newer small ps2's.took them a few years to get it right.Heck they even had it on the news about ps2's breaking.
