GameXplain: "When I first picked up the controller to try Square Enix’s Sleeping Dogs demo, I didn’t know what to expect. I knew the game had once been known as True Crime: Hong Kong before Activision canceled it, but I've never been a fan of the True Crime games and nothing about the game really called out to my attention. Believe me when I say that this is a game to watch. I only got the smallest of tastes when I played Sleeping Dogs, but the representatives of the game literally had to shoo me away before I stopped playing."

United Front Games developed a really unique experience with Sleeping Dogs, and it still holds up. Unfortunately, any hope at a sequel hinges on it getting more popular almost a decade later.

Shang-Chi star Simu Liu is working to revive the Sleeping Dogs movie and hopes its success could lead to a long-awaited Sleeping Dogs sequel.
Please do. One of my favorite games from that gen. A man who never eats pork bun is never a whole man!
Square has their own GTA and they haven't bothered making a sequel. Yet they're wasting money on nfts and live service crap.

Huzaifah from eXputer: "Sleeping Dogs from the early 2010s is one of the best open-world games out there but in dire need of a resurgence."
You say "yet" as if it's even possible anymore. United Front Games is gone, along with anyone that made this game what it is
That’s what happens when games sell poorly. And I’ve seen people wonder why people cry when a game sells badly… this is your answer.
Sleeping Dogs was a sleeper hit back then. It was fantastic. It actually still is. Would love a sequel to this, or at least a revive of True Crime series.
This looks pretty interesting actually
red steel, is that you?
I wasn't interested in this game at first, but the more I hear about it, the more my interest is piqued. Looking forward to more of it in the future!
Ok the similarities betwwen Shenmue II and Spleeping Dogs are quite close to each other.
- both take place in Hong Kong.
- explore the city and get into kung fu fights
- chases on foot
sounds quite interesting.
