Intel: "We Make More Than Just CPUs"

Gamers Nexus: "With a market cap of $136B at its disposal (compared against AMD’s $5.3B), Intel has the financial stability to push the limits of microprocessor architecture with each massive tock in their constant tick-tock cadence. We discussed Visual BIOS and Intel’s third generation of computing with engineers at PAX East this year, where Senior Marketing Engineer Fred Birang of Intel wanted to make one thing very clear to the enthusiast and system building communities: 'We make more than just CPUs.'"

No wonder why their products usually outclass , AMD's but not by large enough margin to justify the price difference

Blaaaah ha hah ha, OMG! HA hah ah a blah ha hah ah cough cough oh my stomach hurts blah ha ha ha!!

Intel = Best CPU's ever HANDS DOWN!

Intel Graphics = "Not so much" but making progress........ but no matter what device your talking about AMD and Nvidia have something better!

Nvidia should buy AMD's CPU division
Intel should buy AMD's Graphics division

Intel vs. Nvidia now that would be a war!!

Not sure how serious intel is taking on the GPU market.

NYC_Gamer5144d ago

Intel will target the casual market by using integrated graphics on their cpu products.

They did try to challenge AMD and Nvidia with a multi-core graphic card of their own several years back.A project-I forgot the name-that involves a lot of low-voltage processing unit clumped together in single die. An example was putting hundreds of Pentium 3 processing cores into a single chip. There were a number of real time CGI and physics demos to show off Intel's plan and its main selling point is the possibility of an actual Ray-tracing capable card.

In the end the project just died out after a couple of years promoting it and now Intel seem content with its integrated graphic chips. Besides, Intel is currently busy with its Ultrabook campaign. Hopefully Intel's current graphic cores could turn out as a decent alternative for gamers on the go unlike the horrible integrated graphic solution half a decade ago.

They take it very seriously, they are just not very good at making them.

Plus, they will need to bribe a lot of OEMs to use their discrete GPUs exclusively which is how Intel does business and it is expensive.

neogeo5144d ago

Ok but how much are these mobos?

hano5144d ago

Intel is a bloated peace of garbage. With that much money they can't take AMD out of business and only recently were able to match them in quality.

Let them start their larabbee shit and let's see them get their asses handed to them by AMD and Nvidia.

I like AMD if you can't tell.

Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.

To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Jingsing27d ago

The stock mark is what makes Microsoft remarkable, They have convinced every institutional and retail investor to just keep piling money into them. Like many big tech giants they are just a big growing pyramid scheme. As long as people keep dropping money into ETF's that cover the market Microsoft will always be liquid. At the same time it is completely stifling innovation and competition. People need to start being more discreet in how they invest their money as it's killing the system.

Tanktopmaster9227d ago

Once they re-evaluate exclusive all will be fine….

S2Killinit27d ago

Riiiiight because people will just flock back to them for one or two games per year.

Jingsing27d ago

15+ years of bad performance is what they call irreparable in business. It is time for them to sell off the assets and get out of entertainment.

Tanktopmaster9227d ago

These declines are on the back of extra revenue received from releasing games like Forza horizon 5 on PlayStation. So I’m being sarcastic here when I said they should go back to exclusives. Killing off a revenue stream from Ps5 sales will only make things worse
