...........So your not making Crysis 3 cause nothing worked in Crysis 2!

How about you just go back to the drawing board and act like you never made the CryEngine 3 or Crysis 2 and start over at the ending of Crysis Warhead on a more efficient CryEngine 2!!

h311rais3r5108d ago

I agree 100%. Crysis 2 was no sequel. It had NOTHING to do with crysis 1 but had prophet...I still haven't beaten it yet! It's just so boring.

Tachyon_Nova5108d ago

A more efficient CE2? So maybe something like CE3 then?

Mrmagnumman3575108d ago

Exactly, CE3 is so much better then CE2, Crysis 2 barely showed what CE3 can do. By the way, im a modder for CE3, so I can say this!

hiredhelp5108d ago (Edited 5108d ago )

People quick to knock cryengine 3 i for one see the potential i think it is good do i think its better... Yes i do just yesturday i played crysis first one got onto the beach i found myself for the past 5min looking at this turtle thinking bloody hell this is amazing way ahead of its time.
The shell just poped even the old washing machine washed up had nobs buttons that actually 3D not drawn on.
So i thinking back to crysis 2 sure the game felt very differnt in certain aspect i do prefer crysis to crysis 2 but there engine has everything crysis had but more.
And if some of you have seen some of the mods of cry engine 3 youll see the potential it has.

Just ask Mrmagnumman357 ask for some links to his modding skills, crytek hasnt utilized there engine to the max yet they dont need to yet just give crysis 3 a chance.

NO!!! CryEngine 3 in Crysis 2 was GARBAGE!!

Whether Crytek dumbed down Crysis 2 cause of consoles of whatever, who knows but I was not happy with the DX11 Crysis 2!

Crysis on Enthusiast level had Photo-realistic graphics. Crysis 2 was a HUGE step BACKWARDS from that!

Crytek went the cartoony graphics route instead of further pushing Photo-realism plus teh game sucked, the story was stupid, and no sandbox gameplay!

Gamer-Z5108d ago

Crysis fans want open world, not kinda open.

kaveti66165108d ago

Crysis fans are on PC, and have created open environments.

I don't think any fans of Crysis resort to playing on consoles unless something terrible has happened to their computers.

Things that didn't work - When you are out of energy, you can't run, at all... What kind of dumbass comes up with such idea?

Anyways after Crysis 2, I gonna read the reviews and watch a lot of gameplay footage first, because I know they can be saying one thing, but god knows if they know what actually needs to be fixed in that game.

kaveti66165108d ago

"When you are out of energy, you can't run, at all... What kind of dumbass comes up with such idea?"

Reality is a b*tch, huh?

Fylus5108d ago

If I'm running, and I eventually run out of energy, I'll take a 5 second breather and continue running.

Vladplaya5107d ago (Edited 5107d ago )

Right, because Marines in real life do 3 mile run for their physical fitness test. Yet the guy with power suit somehow completely looses his ability to run once his suit is out of energy, the energy that has nothing to do with "normal" abilities of his body

Nothing real about it, just very shallow game design decision, that was put in there by someone who couldn't come up with more clever solution.

kaveti66165107d ago

Are you criticizing the mechanic because it doesn't make sense in the context of the story or because it's simply annoying as a game mechanic?

Because if it's the former, there are a million other story points to criticize for being illogical. The fact that you'd run out of energy and have to stop is arguably an obstacle that forces the player to pay attention and use strategy.

It sounds like you guys just want a game where you're invincible. It's mindless.

DigitalAnalog5108d ago (Edited 5108d ago )

I think what Vladplaya is trying to say is that the sprinting shares the same nano-suit energy as the other functions.

While the energy is used by the maximum speed perk on Crysis 1, it makes no sense that it could deplete the nano-suit energy faster than the cloaking and armor perk. For a high-tech device, this is a pretty big flaw in that design, if anything, you should be able to run more effeciently than a professional runner without taking a breather.

Vladplaya5107d ago (Edited 5107d ago )

Thank you! Good to see at least someone with common sense around here.

ninjahunter5108d ago

Individual speed mode please. You power strint slower now that speed mode at stock in crysis 1, and it actually requires energy to go faster than walk. annoying.

Dugstar5108d ago

Building and programming Netcode that works this time as lets face it Multiplayer will be scrutinized in Crysis 3 and if anything that annoyed me about Crysis 2 was the fact that online was dire and could have been much better had things worked properly.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

cue the apologist saying that these are mostly just contractors hired for this specific project bla bla bla

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee51d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

US Lawmakers Urge Review Of EA Sale

The Congressional Labor Caucus sent a letter to the FTC warning the debt-financed, largely PIF-owned deal could be bad news for workers

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

No. There were elections and some of the scum were replaced.

Different elections. Different scum. Same results.

i know its a long shot, but i hope this gets shot down.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
