I really hope its the rumored Ninja Turtles. Arkham gameplay with a lot of co-op moves. If they do Ninja Turtles i hope its off the original comics.

RyuDrinksTheDew5139d ago

O_O

is there really a rumor for a Ninja Turtles by them?

if so, that has some serious potential.

gaffyh5138d ago

I didn't know that either. Hopefully it's not the movie-based game (i.e. based on Michael Bay's TMNT movie)

MrBeatdown5139d ago

I think they could do something good with Mortal Kombat or The Matrix. They did combat so well in Batman that I think it would carry over well to either of those franchises, both of which are heavy on hand to hand combat.

Take any MK character and put him into Arkham-style combat. The MK characters have similar abilities... Scorpion's spears instead of grappling hooks. Sub-Zero's freezing in place of Batman's freezing abilities. Liu Kang's fireballs in place of EMP blasts or batarangs. Fatalities instead of takedowns.

Then their is The Matrix. Swap Batman with Neo and swap Joker's thugs with Smith clones, and you'd basically have any scene from Matrix Reloaded.

They definitely aren't the most popular IPs out there, and the chance of a Matrix game is pretty much non-existant, but still, I think Rocksteady could do something great with them.

LightofDarkness5139d ago

I think they should do something new. That is, completely new, and not based on someone else's IP. They've certainly earned the right to let their creative juices fly.

Syclonus5139d ago

id like to see them make a judge dredd game

gaffyh5138d ago

That would actually be really cool, but in the end it would just be a plain shooter probably.

Nunchez5138d ago

Yes please I really hope this is true! Superman I think does deserve a good game and the best people now for that is definitely Rocksteady.

Rocksteady's New Game Director Is an Assassin's Creed Franchise Veteran

Rocksteady has hired a new game director that not only is an Assassin's Creed franchise veteran but even worked on the Batman Arkham games.

Blad3runner00255d ago

I wonder if ex Ubisoft employees put “worked on Assassins Creed” on their resume or not, as it would give an automatic red flag to avoid hiring them.

cloganart255d ago

Unlike what we may personally think, most AC games have received generally favorable critical acclaim and managed enough commercial success to warrant an uncomfortable amount of sequels. 😂

neutralgamer1992255d ago

A series which has sold over 200 million copies should be on your resume contrary to popular belief people doing the hire want to know if you have had success before

TheColbertinator255d ago

Plenty of gamers enjoyed Valhalla, Odyssey, Ezio's trilogy and the Origins. High critical acclaim and high sellers to boot. Get off your high horse.

Inverno255d ago

The vast majority of the industry follow the Assassin's Creed template for open world games. The issue is fanboys wanna act blind to the fact that all the issues they have with AC are present in all the open world games made in the last decade. While also not having touched an AC game in that long.

It could be great! He worked as Design Director on Arkham: Origins & Game Director on Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Valhalla and Origins.

I think this is a great sign that Rocksteady is shifting back to a Single Player experience after Suicide Squad. That's reason enough for me to celebrate.

Time to copy and paste Altairman and his hidden batblade ability.

YourMommySpoils254d ago

anast255d ago

But I thought GaaS was the future!

Christopher490d ago

Let's be honest, GaaS was the least of this game's issues.

HBO’s “The Penguin” Makes Me Want A Batman-Less Arkham Game

Shaz from GL: "HBO's The Penguin proves that you don't need Batman to tell a Batman story, which makes me wonder if the same could be done for a video game."

Enough of Batman less Gotham games

zsquaresoff548d ago

The only reason why anyone is watching this show is because it is in the 'Batman Universe'

GhostScholar547d ago

We got that with Arkham knights. Wasn’t great

GhostScholar547d ago

Yes I know it was called Gotham knights lol I said Arkham because if may as well been called that because it was basically a sequel.

Flewid638547d ago (Edited 547d ago )

Gotham Knights had zero connection to the Arkham series. Totally separate universe.

Rebel_Scum547d ago

Yeah no thanks. Not a fan at all of playing as other characters like Nightwing, Robin, Harley etc. Don't even like their detective mechanics much so Gordon is out too.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH547d ago

Nah Batman is needed. I only want to play as Batman in the “Batman Universe “
