see how he struggles to name the xbox games. I really hope they have more games for 08 or my xbox will go on sale to pay for ps3 games. I'm not hating on 360 but i really want to see their exclusive offerings. Considering my roomate has a 360 if there arent that many exclusives there really isnt any need to keep one at this point.

I noticed that too. But you can't expect a platform to keep producing highly anticipated games year in, year out. People talk about how great Sony's 2008 lineup will be, but how can 2009 possibly top those releases? It really can't as we're getting the entire lot we've wanted this year. So it seems like every platform will go through a year where, it's hard to call it a disappointment, but it certainly won't be a year to rival or better than a previous one and I feel this is the case with Microsoft.

But it's gaining more emphasis on here because 2008 is seen as the year where Sony starts to catch Microsoft's tails in sales. We'll see.

Drekken6715d ago

We already can expect Resistance2, GoW3, and a couple more sequels they are working on. I have faith in Sony to keep pumping out hits.
The 360 on the other hand is looking very lackluster. 1 or 2 nice looking games that WILL be out on the PC isnt worth it if you had to choose between the consoles.

I dont have a 360, but I do have a PC so my gaming needs are taken care of with it and a PS3.

sticky doja6715d ago

I personally think he was struggling to figure out which games he can talk about, don't wanna slip an unannounced game on video.

JasonPC360PS3Wii6715d ago

Why do I get the feeling your don't even own a 360? and the people backing you up just proves that point. If you like I have a link where they sell troll bridges real cheap, maybe you can get a bargin. Sorry it's just obvious and with 80% of your comments supporting the PS3 doesn't help ether.

mikeslemonade6715d ago

He can't be more wrong when he says xbox 360 has something to offer for all different types of gamers. If I was looking for a platformer it's Kameo and a RPG would be Blue Dragon. There is also Banjo and Lost Odyssey but Banjo is only one game and Lost Odyssey is the last exclusive Japanese RPG the 360 has. Since GDC last year Sony has had the best showings in every single conference. MS and HD-DVD group dropped the ball once again in CES 08. And if they had enough great announcements they would have spread a few for CES and a lot for GDC.

should have released halo3 in 2008 when it was ready and at a satisfactory level to bungie, probably why bungie quit microsoft and chose to be independant bungie like to finish their games properly and not be forced to a deadline because microsoft wanted to win xmas 2007 soo badly.

2008 seems to be quite barren for 360 regarding exclusives,2007 was 360s year 2008 ps3s year just a natural evolution.

Monty_The_Great6715d ago

everyone always complaining that the 360 doesn't have the "exclusives" in '08, that they are "coming to PC." Hate to break it to you, but if your PC couldn't handle Crysis, or even Gears, then you have zero chance of it running any of these new games at a quality level. Also, if you just own both the 360 and the PS3, then you have no problem for '08.

it's hard being a 360 owner in '08... a quick glance at a tentative release schedule shows these are the only games i'll be very interested in buying:

Ninja Gaiden 2 (Exclusive, the reason i bought a 360)
Devil May Cry 4
Lost Odyssey (Exclusive)
Army of Two
R6V:2
Gears of War 2 (Most likely Exclusive)
Mercs 2: world in flames
Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Grand Theft Auto IV
Splinter Cell Conviction (Exclusive)
Tom Clancy's Endwar
Fracture
Fable 2 (Exclusive)
Fallout 3
Prototype
Too Human (Exclusive)
Tiberium

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde35d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.
