Kinect Star Wars And Dancing: Is It Really That Bad?

There's been no shortage of controversy over the dancing minigames included in Kinect Star Wars, but could people be making too much of a fuss over nothing?

People will defend anything.

I agree but they will also moan about anything too.

The way I look at it is its a game. If you don't like it fine don't buy it.

If you like it then buy it.

No need to sit around going on about how good or bad the game is as everyone is different and likes different things that is part of being human.

thta's too easy and convenient to tell people to shut up and ignore if they feel something is bad :p . If think everyone know by default they aint forced to buy any game

The place and its comment system is basically there to discuss stuff and have opinions .

So it should be the other way around , if you a the game and can't deal with the criticism , just ignore those and buy the game

It's a kids game, for kids just like the Clone War cartoon (not the first animated one that was good). The dance modes on YouTube are hysterically dumb, but overall I think TFU2 is more offensive to a Star Wars fan than this. Still as a fan I can't be serious about this. They said they had cynical Star Wars fans judge the game. I wonder how old they were.

The game itself is not bad. Some of the minigames are absolutely broken pieces of crap, and some of the other games (mostly just the dancing) works well and it's fun.

Problem is, Microsoft advertised this game to be a hardcore Star Wars fan's dream game, and when the most functional part of the game is the dancing aspect... well, surely you can understand why fans are upset, right? If they just came out and said "this game is a silly Star Wars game aimed at children and fun-loving adults. It won't be serious. It won't be the ultimate Star Wars game", then gamers would have probably gone into the game with more realistic expectations.

I'd still place the blame on people and most of all the press then . At those E3 reveals of the game , it was painfully obvious the game wouldnt be that , but instead what got released today . The only thing not obvious was the dancing .

The press had multiple encounters with the title that would reveal the obvious , yet instead they decided to believe it would be some kind of hardcore dream star wars game . And suddenly now they wanna dish out at the game , because they lied to themselves and didnt do their job .

So "microsoft said" uh ? Are they supposed to be sheeps and just listen to PR?

My friend knows someone who has this and he said his friend is actually trying to get him to come over and play it. Maybe it is pretty good but it doesn't change the fact that most star wars fans don't want a dancing kinect game.

One of the worst things to happen to Star Wars was it being exclusive to Kinect when PS Move could have been a better version because of "buttons" per Kevin with better tracking. And the controller looking like a light saber hilt. Or, had an actual light saber game similar to the dojo in Vader Immortal.

But the miming lies on the Microsoft E3 stage was icing on the cake of this garage. Wasn't even live gameplay. Just bad acting. Nothing ground breaking about this travesty.

Star Wars is Best Suited for AA Gaming, Not AAA

WTMG's Leo Faria: "This piece wasn’t meant to say that Star Wars‘ gaming future is ruined forever, nor that there isn’t a chance for a good AAA Star Wars game to come out in the near future. I need to reiterate that, yes, I’m looking forward to Jedi Fallen Order. Then again, as a massive Star Wars fan, like most of you I miss the days when we would get loads of titles a year, each one focused on one specific feature of the franchise. I’d rather have a slew of smaller Star Wars games being released every year, some good and some not as good, than one big generic title being released every two years. These are always at the risk of being criticized due to typical AAA practices like expensive season passes, cut content, or microtransactions. Had Disney allowed for anyone, especially mid-range developers and publishers, to bring their creative and risk-free ideas to life, I’m sure fans would have rejoiced. And Disney’s pockets would most certainly fill up faster than nowadays."
