BioWare have big time redemption to do, DA2 was the biggest player exploitation in recent gaming memory .

recycled maps spam
cant customize party
choices change nothing
the game is only a set-up

That's odd. That's not the game I played. It wasn't as good as Dragon Age Origins, but it was still a better than average RPG experience, even if it did start to get repetitive about 3/4 of the way through and once I got over the initial "Huh. You can't outfit your other guys," I just accepted it and played the game. It certainly wasn't a deal breaker. Actually ended up streamlining gameplay quite a bit because I wasn't always worrying about making sure everyone always had the best equipment equipped like I did in the first game.

As for the choices - when have choices ever mattered? When it comes down to player choice versus main plot points - plot points are going to win out every time. That's the way Dragon Age was, that's the way Mass Effect was - why would I expect differently all of a sudden?

I've never understood the hate directed at this title. I looked at the critics take on this game and it scored really well. Again, not as high as the first, but a 79 metacritic score is something 90% of games released never achieve. And, after playing it I tend to agree with the critics. It was a good game. Not great. Not as good as the first. But good, none the less.

and what is all the junk equipment i collect good for? that part became pointless

that is so wrong i don't know where to start, almost every quest in DA:O has story changing choices, this some example from another gamer:

"You ignore the fact that you do not have to save Arl Eamon at all. Neither need you save Redcliffe. Neither need you save the elves (you can save the werewolves if you desire). You could decide to help Orzammar in a number of different ways, some of which cause more damage than others, depending on your opinion. You also could decide to kill all the mages in the Circle Tower in DA Origins, even killing Wynne in the process.

The ashes could be desecrated before Arl Eamon is encountered and there is a way to avoid fighting Leliana and the rest of the Chantry devotees if the Gray Warden decides to desecrate the ashes (and thereby learn a new character class).

Finally, the main character might not win their way in the Landsmeet, might decide to recruit Loghain into the party, and might even encourage the execution of Alistair, a party member that's usually friendly to the main character"

Don't speak. Ur opinion is rubbish. Da2 was complete and utter boring trash that needs to be erased from gaming history. No its not better than most average rpg experiences because its below average.

@darkride

The more I read comments from you the more I fear of you becoming a programmer or designer at any development house.

kevnb5168d ago

they should make it lead pc, it worked last time.

Dark115168d ago (Edited 5168d ago )

Make it more like the witcher 2 , and it will be great.

synchroscheme5168d ago (Edited 5168d ago )

Make it more like Origins and it will be even greater.

Neckbear5168d ago

Nah, it'll just be more boring.

VileAndVicious5168d ago

Nah I think both DA2 and origins had there equal share of flaws (origin had a crazy difficulty level that would randomly come out of no where.)

I liked some things from both games I hope they just capitalize on those in DA3. But Im looking forward to it.

NYC_Gamer5168d ago (Edited 5168d ago )

I really doubt Bioware will deliver on their promises

h311rais3r5168d ago

They used to. Back in the day. But now they are eas bizzotch

ThanatosDMC5168d ago

Yup, they said all this about DA2... then we got shafted.

Dragon Age: Inquisition Retro Review – A Nostalgic Leap Short Of Legendary

Dragon Age: Inquisition, developed by BioWare, is the third installment in the cherished Dragon Age series. It represents a major evolution from its predecessor, Dragon Age II, incorporating elements that were well-loved in the original Dragon Age: Origins but also introducing new features that stand on their own. While Inquisition improves upon Dragon Age II in many respects, it falls short of the exceptional standards set by Origins.

The quality of these free games has been awesome. Before anyone says they are not free I was already giving Amazon $6 a month for prime shipping and video this isn't why I pay for my subscription

Teflon021680d ago

Still technically paying for it, even if it wasn't your intent. They've been giving out games with Twitch prime, they just changed the name. It's the same sub as that was. If you weren't aware, great. But you're paying for it.

That being said, I don't personally care. For me as long as you're willing to pay that for 1 service and get more. I personally take it as free. Like prime video, music though the prime version is trash, and all the Twitch benefits are all free to me because I didn't care about those when I got it. Just comes with it.

Only noted because that's technically wrong as a defense to that argument, whether I'm on yourside with the initial statement lol

mkis0071680d ago

It's free to anyone who has already been paying. IDK why people need to split hairs.

TinkerNation1680d ago

How does Prime Gaming work? Do you keep the games, or is it only as long as you have Prime?

Germaximus1680d ago

lol Nice distraction from how they're now charging people to increase viewership. It's "just an option." /wink lol

NautilusXIII1680d ago

gonna assume this is pc only?
