Theres a ton of them, good ones in fact.....

Nobody has blown this out of proportion, it's well deserved hate and the fact everytime NT opens there mouth just makes things work....they insulted the fans, they insulted the DMC creator and they insulted Dante himself. It's not like people have made all this stuff up

There are a lot of more complaints:

1) The complete change of history. Dante is no longer half human half angel. Who was the mother if she isnt a human anymore? Does Virgil still exist if the mother aint the same how does this change the history? How did Sparda end up marrying an angel and why haven't other angels been involved if the mother was an angel?

2) Ebony and Ivory no longer exist

3) Guns have been reported to have a cooling period when they over heat from too much shooting!!!

4) Graphics and gameplay have been sacrificed for a dynamic world. Compared to other DMC's, this one graphically looks weak from what I have seen so far.

5) The gam sold due to its OTT action and story line as well as set pieces and gameplay. Tameem has said he wont be competing with Bayonetta as he is going for a far more realistic approach. Meaning the game will be dumbed down in terms of gameplay and story to fit the "realistic approach."

Bottom line is this, the game was loved for what it is and not what it has become with NT at its helm with the support of Crapcom. If you want to drink a coffee and I keep offering you tea, regardless of how good the tea is, you won't be happy as it isn't what you have asked for.

I for one am not saying the game will be bad, I am saying I want a DMC game which plays and feels like a DMC game. Everything so far points the game to be nothing like what fans have been waiting for.

If you change the history, the characters, the gameplay, the styl and the feel of the game, it is no longer what it is but something else, something new. With so many changes, it is no longer a reboot or a remake, but it is a new IP with the DMC brand.

This is what the fans are complaining about. NT and Crapcom have pretty much killed of DMC for everything it was and stood for.

Dante personality changes because they aren't in the right order chronologically. Simple as that .
Story is not that different .. DMC4 was a follow -up from events happenned in DMC 3 & 1.

DMC4 had me playing as dante , CRRAZZY as ever , while being technical at 60fps ...where is the trashing ? We got nero for half teh game but still dante for the rest .. and the game was far from being a walk in the park.

Look isn't the problem... it's an annoyance , but it's the last thing they need to fix ...

Framerate 30 fps will prevent you from enjoying teh physics and do combos .. Now they are easy as hell and seem automated..
60fps was a trademark for the serie FOR A GOOD REASON... Action games at 60fps are better period.

One of the best, stylish, and fun action slasher on the system. You definitely should get to it, as soon as you can.

The DMC5 team went on to make Dragons Dogma 2, the DMC director (3,4,5) left capcom to make an action game at another studio and the rumor is that a DMC remake is next...so i wouldn't hold my breath on DMC6.
