a prequel is not to surprising, to see how it all ended up that way, or how it first started, so let wait and see

I really think it would be OH so cool, to play as a custimizable character, before the fall of rapture, like not to far but far enuff that u can make decisions about ur plasmid use, have a neato job or something then right when all is well, it is new years and boom. u could choose to be pro atlas or anti atlas...make connections and such have dialouge so when rapture falls u have different sotry paths. doesnt have to be that deep, but def make it more rpg. but maybe im being stupid but IMO itd be neat

That IS a good idea, there would be alot of action, if u were fenix on "emergence day " utter chaos would be wicked.

If it was actually after the original than it would be horrible and make no sense and the story would be kinda forced. Since after the first one without going into to too much detail it mainly ends the story completely. So I prequel would make me happy because I would understand even more than I do. Hopefully it has multiplayer with

Andrew Ryan and Fontaines guys fighting in different places for multiplayer. Or a Big Daddy mode where big daddy or big daddies defend little sisters. If those ideas dont work though it would be good without multiplayer

hopefully the prequel will show some destruction. That was the most disappointing thing about the first one. I was so expecting to see rapture fall apart in the last chapters with water bursting through and areas collapsing from the sea pressure

I would love to see Rapture as a flourishing city....playing through the events leading up to the Splicer take-over...

I was blessed with the chance to play BioShock from beginning to end when I did own a 360. I managed to finish it even though I was battling disc-read errors the entire time...that's how much this game captured me.

BioShock is an atmospheric masterpiece, and I wish it the best of luck in all its future iterations.

I didn't enjoy Bioshock at all. I found it boring and the story quite lame. But i'll still pick up and play whatever the 2nd Bioshock is going to be.

If it is a prequel then hopefully it will immerse me more in the story, and maybe get me more interested in the 1st.

Ditch bioshock and go back to your true gaming gold! system shock. Bring back the RPG elements that you nerfed so badly and a more horror/rpg atmosphere all in a next gen engine without over catering to the console crowd.

Il even provide a plot for ya! Shodans AI is copied to the van brauns sister ship "rapture" and only you shodans favourite insect can save the day.

Bioshock was awesome, i hope they do a good job on number 2. I agree with you guys, a prequel sounds cool. Lots of story that can be explored there.

I loved Bioshock but I'm not sure how I feel about a prequel...all I can think of is Star Wars. Like with Star Wars, while the prequels filled in some information and there were interesting parts, it was hard to feel the sense of excitement you felt with the originals - because you already know the ultimate ending. Besides, a Bioshock prequel seems like it would have too many limits on it. I mean, you shouldn't be able to have any better plasmids or powers because it wouldn't make sense that you didn't have them in Bioshock 1. BUT, I do think they left the window open for a traditional sequel. I don't want to give anything away for those who haven't played it yet but there were plenty of openings left in the ending. Perhaps someone has a son that finds himself uncontrollably lured back there? I would have to think he'd have some interesting powers. I do think more about the heyday of the city and it's demise would be very interesting but that could also be accomplished via longer flashbacks in said sequel. Just my opinion! Either way I'll be looking forward to it. Bioshock was an awesome game.

in the first bioshock, we (the gamer) were given a morality choice. Either kill the girls for our own gain, or save the girls with no guarantee of goods for our self-less acts. the second bioshock would have to be a humanity choice rather than a morality one, here is why.

Most have played through this game, and know the consequences of each action. To rehash this would only leave the game stale and stagnant. Instead they need to introduce a new element into the gameplay, so a humanity choice only seems logical.

Imagine, if you will, watching a juiced-up splicer attack a family of 3 meerly because in his plasmid-crazed mind he believes the girl to be a little sister. You know that the junkie is much stronger than you, but if you let him kill the family you have a chance of killing him quickly and harvesting his adam for your own. Do you let him kill the others just for your own gain? or do you risk life and limb to help innocent strangers from dying?

Or how about a system that makes innocents appear to be aggressors the more juiced you become? one more time, visualize yourself walking down a dark corridor and suddenly being attacked by what you percieve as a spider splicer. you shoot your shotgun with no hesitation and as the spicer falls to the ground her skin melts away to show a normal woman lying where the splicer should be. This would be a shockingly painful realization to the negative effects of plasmids, and how they eventually degrade a persons mind till all they percieve is monsters.

These are just my ramblings, and I post them here not expecting a soul to read it. I guess what I am trying to say is that in order for the game to be successful, it needs to stick to the same formula but needs to change it up beyond the save or kill of little girls. Concequences for your actions would be nice as would a form of plasmid psychosis, but 2k has the ultimate say in the matter.

also larger expanses of the city and more plasmids would be nice, not so much as new weapons though. quest-like missions for either atlas or ryan would be cool as well, with maybe some other characters thrown in for side-quests. also, since this is a time of war, maybe a multi-big daddy fight or two, or some form of super daddy that can use plasmids or something.

cool. I wish it would be on PS3, but I doubt it. As long as it's on PC though, I like console gaming more, but I still have a PC for those MS excusives i can't play.

Tell me again how the multiplatform strategy was supposed to fix everything. Look at your results and compare them to Nintendo, which keeps thriving with exclusives. Your loyal fans are gone. And let’s not forget the pile of IPs you purchased only to let them rot.

The worst thing is this is down from last years numbers/expectations which was down from the previous years numbers/expectations. You think about how long “down” has been a consistent part of the communication and you realize those subscriptions are what’s holding that boat together. The price cut of gamespass is still a price raise in a string of price raises. They are trying to use players to offset the missing revenue. Now call of duty is out of gamespass, which is literally WHY they bought the company. To draw people to the subscription. They realized they missed a boatload of money and that wasn’t sustainable. Now you pay for it like you would have if they never bought the company… so why buy the company? Mind you those billions still need to be paid back. Yeah it gives you a chance to say we make the biggest FPS… but the internal conversations must be brutal at high level on topics that really matter. Like revenue. Profitability. And ROI for the shopping spree.
