I sure hope they are doing ok, they are my favorite Japanese publisher this gen. They have brought great games over such as Bayonetta, Vanquish, Yakuza, Resonance of Fate, Sonic Generations, etc. If there is one Japanese company that should go under, its Capcom, or at least chance how it does business significantly.

Where the heck are the numbers?

How can you title the article "Is Sega in trouble?" and then completely ignore the financials that surround the so-called "trouble?"

And this is coming from the BIGGEST gaming website on the internet. Am I missing something? Aren't they supposed to be informing us?

No breakdown of Sega's 2011 quarterlies to compare and see if their net profits are up or down? No quotes on operating costs? How much revenue did Sega net from total sales? What's their R&D? Are their losses attributable to some titles or is it just poor business management?

This article is a fluff piece. Pure and utter garbage.

I expected actual information from IGN not an editorial glossing over their games.

See folks, this is why gaming journalists are never taken serious.

Clearly they are in trouble when only sonic the hedgehog can sell over 1 million copies while other original titles can sell up to 800,000 copies and cannot reach the million mark. Sega needs to start releasing their classic games from their previous consoles . There are playing of titles to be had. There are a few companies that are doing a good job bringing out their classics out to modern Devices, sega needs to join that list. So fans of sega need to shout out to sega to get these classics out and let the two developers that built the company back and allow them to get creative with games and producing something new and extraordinary, instead of peering over their shoulders calling out the shots and stopping their creative workspace flow.
