The PSN is free and I'd like to keep it that way. You only pay for what you want and I believe that's pretty fair.
We can't complain if the network is down because we're not paying for the service.

well not for nothing. i'm interested on how this turns out. i mean if they win their suit. then i am sueing cable. you don't know how many time my internet and phone goes out. and when i call someone to come out. they always say we will charge you if the problem is your fault. but when they come out they never find out the problem. they keep telling me to report it each time so i can get a bullsh*t credit.

These people are stupid. This sue for anything culture is fast becoming the norm and its trying to creep into the UK also. but this is over the top, give the guys at microsoft a break. this is the first time its ever happened (to my knowledge) and everyone's freaking out about it. xbox live membership is $50 i believe, $50/365 days = about 14 cents a day. multiply that by 10 days and microsoft "owes" all of its member $1.40...so my point is everyone who is b*tchin about it needs to stop cuz $1.40 is absolutely nothing. get over it and i hope these guys lose in court big time

Okay, I pay 50-60 dollars for an xbox live service that doensn't work for a month strait. (and yes it's been a month) I do believe that microsoft should be sewed for this.

Reason number 1. I PAYED FOR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reason 2, What is a free game supposed to do. If i get an electronic item from walmart and it doesn't work they dont replace i with a wool shirt.

Reason 3, I waited on the phone for one full hour (little more actually) to talk to a representative that didn't know anything more than i did.

Reason 4, They refuse to give me a free month of xbox live even though i payed for it and they didn't deliver it. If i wanted a stupid game i can just use the points (i already purchased) and buy the dag on thing.

Reason 5, The richest company in the world supposedly hired some of the brightest people in the world to fix a server that has connection issues yet it takes more than a month to fix.

Reason 6, I own a ps3, of which is free (i'm not a fan boy people just speaking the truth), and i have no connection errors with them. Am i missing something here?

I just got off the phone with a manager at microsoft, I sat and listend to him talk for a while me being patient with him (i was seriously on the phone for 1 hour waiting for him to answer) He filled the air with excuses as to what was going on and that they know of this problem already. After he was done, i asked him a few questions, them being the following. Why is it i payed for a service and yet i get none for a solid month, i'm on hold for over one hour, my ps3 works just fine and it's free, you want to correct a mistake with a cheap game i could just pay 300 points for, and the greatest question of all why dont you know when they are going to get the xbox live service up and running. Your whole job is to answer customers questions, yet the one question i really care about you keep saying you dont know. His response is that His bosses don't let him know (thats putting it short). My response is well god gave you a mouth and their bosses probably have ears so why dont you elevate the question to them ask them, and then you have an answer for the customer that is talking to you rite now and also in the future. I then asked for one free month of xbox live, he said he didn't have authority to do that, i asked if he could start a new subcription if i paid, he responded yes, i told him i already paid so he should credit it to me. (It sounded fare to me)

What im getting at is the fact that i'm a loyal gamer to the wii, ps3, and xbox. I own one hell of an entertainment center, i commit hours of time each week to play on line. I should be compencated for THEIR, mistake. I dont know what kind of life your in to set back and think that life is free. But it isn't we paid for the service their for we deserve the service. Nothing about hand outs, and nothing about some stupid game that they think will compensate for their stupidity and eye gouging ways. I'm sick of the MAN screwing the middle guy over.

With that said, let me get on to the whole contract thing. Yes i understand i singed (or agreed) to the terms of service with microsoft. My points are relevant though, the fact that a multi billion dollar comapany can not deliver a fix to a problem that has been happening to ME for a MONTH, is rediculous. Especially since their competition has delivered me a product FOR FREE, and with no problems.

I love xbox live, i play and admire how they have it set up. But the fact of the matter is. I payed for a product, they wont stand by their product, and no matter how many bubbles you (fan boys take)the situation will not change. They are being greedy thats all their is too it.

And to the people that complain about this statement. How about the fact that the RROD were covered under a warranty that you could purchase for 59 dollars. Their you go problem solved, (of which i did) but still yet people complained and got a fix. Xbox live goes down for a month I complane and I get bubbles taken away. Whos the bigger idiot. This crap is so overblown. From what I've heard, this is one of about 2 times that Live has ever had problems, spanning even from the original xbox. It has problems for a week or two and people completly lose their minds. Yes, you have to pay for it, but I also pay for comcast cable. It goes out occasionally. I don't sue comcast. Seriously, it's not THAT big of a deal.

I aswell have comcast cable, and guess what. If my cable goes out they compensate me. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
