No offense but I think PS3 owners would of appreciated this title more if it was MP, story driven games like Heavy Rain, Uncharted on the PS3 proove that.

The only way it would go multiplatform is if another publisher picked up the rights. It will always be on the 360 as long as MS publishes it.

who cares, each system has their fair share of exclusives that each console wants. But will never have.

i remember waiting when Alan Wake was going to be a launch title for the 360 and it was going to be an open world game

I think this kind of goes without saying. Microsoft paid to publish the games and thus it cant be published on another console.
What happened with Mass Effect was different because Microsoft only had an agreement to publish the first game, based on their previous relationship with Bioware that saw KOTOR and Jade Empire as Xbox exclusives last generation.

When EA bought out Bioware, they didn't really have a choice in the matter. Still, because the first game was published by Microsoft that game could never go to another console.

Same type of deal with Remedy and Microsoft, Microsoft went in and bought the publishing rights as a whole, so while Remedy owns the IP, Microsoft owns publishing rights. They allowed Remedy to seek a PC publisher because the PC isn't a competing platform.

I loved Alan Wake and American Nightmare, will be excited to see more in the future. I think people need to get off articles like this, which are clearly intended to cause hurt feelings and trolling alike.

So what? The mechanics of the game is not unique, the story is predictable and naive. The visuals are quite nice but with terrible resolution of textures. The last levels are just boring when you repeat the same path and the same enemies. It's a decent game but nothing you can't miss. Too much fuss was made about it just because it was an exclusive until this year.

So will a few other 360 games... but evev MORE so for PS3 games on 360. Choose your console and then shut up about it.If you can buy both.

I would like to make it clear that Microsoft funded the production of the first Alan Wake game, and while they were happy for Remedy to now self-publish on PC it is highly unlikely they would want to see the game on a competing console. While we do own the Alan Wake brand, Remedy doesn’t have rights to publish THE Alan Wake on PS3.

All in all its a good game, overrated really though. Sadly, this game is perfect for ps3 and would have done better on ps3 with move support, just like some ps3 only shooters would have done better on 360.

For those who really want to play this game, go to a mom and pop vid game store and buy a 360 for under 100.00 dollars. I got a second generation 360 HDMI for 55 dollars and works perfectly. The guys repair ect. and if there are any issues they will fix for non charge.

Oh really? I'll tell you what, Alan Wake is one of my favorite games of this generation. But when it comes to the technical details, the PC version of the game requires a pathetically low PC spec: it runs in DX9 mode regardless of your graphics card and it can even be installed on an XP operating system.

Yeah, you read it right: you can run it on an ancient Windoows XP. :)

If you have a five year old laptop, you'll be able to run it smoothly. And who doesn't have a laptop nowadays? Do we have a problem, then? The game's great and almost everyone who is interested in this game can check it out.

I got half way done with Alan Wake before it was time to send back to the place I rented it from.

And why would I want Alan Wake on PS3? and as of it's a Xbox 360 exclusive title. we also have HEAVY RAIN Infamous and Uncharted just to name a few. Forget to mention HEAVY RAIN have brief NUDITY

Look....PS owners get better than this game anyhow. I finished Alan Wake on my 360, & to be totally honest, I was hanging to just finish it & take it back to EB's to get my money back within there 7 day return policy. I really wasn't enjoying the laborious, repetative combat after the 1st few hours of play.

I can't understand the positive reviews & such the game gets, as it was one of the most predictably repetative games I've ever experienced. I mean, you can say most all games are repetative, but Alan Wake's enemies & battles consisted of turns between 2 enemy waves that alternate.
So you'd tromp through the bushland linear pathway in the game (which I had no problem with), but then after 5-10 minutes of walking/running, you'd either run into 4 samely looking hick dudes, or 3 samely & 1 tall (jaws from bond looking) enemies. This happend for several hours throughout the game & it just made the game very average for me.

I loved Remedy's Max Payne games (mainly the 1st), the pacing & everything about Max Payne was total class from start to finish........& when I finished Max Payne I wanted more & like all AAAA games, I thought it was too short, but Alan Wake was the opposite, as I just wanted to finish it & get it out of the way, it felt too long.....& it felt that way due to very average, repetaive enemy types & patterns, as well as a pretty forced, crappy story that failed to hook me in any way, shape or form.

I hope Remedy put Wake to rest, & get back to making another action/noir type series, which is what there best at. Dead Space, Siren & such are making the best survival horror games, Alan Wake leaves a lot to be desired in the genre in tried to infiltrate, but it takes a special writer or bunch of writers to come up with a great horror script, & it takes a special developer to implement all that into a game.
Now I'm not saying Remedy aren't special developers, they are, but there specialty is in a different whole genre from what they were trying to get into with Alan Wake.

i don't think we are missing much. ps3 has exclusives that will never be on xbox.

As someone with only a PS3, I would love to play Alan Wake. Looks right up my alley. Fanboys be trolling. Everyone should try this game.
