Spy vs. Spy first appeared as a black and white comic strip in Mad magazine #60 on January 1961. In 2004 2K Games released a video game based on the comic strip for the Game Cube, Xbox and PS2. This morning a mysterious email was received with a strange message.

IGN writes: "Warner Bros. Games has officially acquired Player First Games, adding the developer behind MultiVersus to its profile.
In an official release sent to IGN, Warner Bros. confirmed that co-founder Tony Huynh and Chris White will retain leadership of the studio, which has led development of the popular Smash Bros-like brawler. "

Warner Bros. announced it's pivoting to live-service games, which could be a disastrous move for its devs
I don’t think there ever was a time for GaaS. Its entire resistance is revolved around making a game that generates recurring revenue constantly throughout its lifetime. It’s straight up a corporate scumbag design.
I watched the video seeing if anything changed since the initial Suicide gameplay vid before the delay and it looks the same. So weird watching all the characters just start a gun to their back and bounce super high shooting with no kick-back animation in an empty dead world. The voice acting is cringe and there doesn’t have any sense of atmosphere or immersion like the Arkham games.
And they expect you to pay $70 to $100 for this and then pay more for Battle Passes and items to make grinding less a chore. Yea, no thank you. I hope you learn a hard lesson with this one.

Today, during Warning Bros' conference call, chief executive officer David Zaslav talked about Mortal Kombat 1, Hogwarts Legacy, and the company's gaming business.
yea, because thats what people want, especially after those games sold millions and are not live service games haha.
so dumb haha.
New mk sold less then the last in the same time frame the NEW MK is legit a live service game with its horrible monopoly board. I just wanted a normal title...
ooohhh spy vs spy. I really liked playing this game on NES. Didn't know they made a PS2 game before.
OMG I loved the Spy vs Spy game for the PS2, the spiltscreen multiplayer was great, setting traps like placing a bucket of acid on a door and sneaking around to kill your enemy. It was really differen't then other online games, plus the variaty of weapons/gadgets were pretty fun
Instead of killing aswell you had to collect four items from a safe in the map
"The aim of these modes is to collect 4 artifacts from safes around the map (and a Briefcase in Classic mode to carry all of the items) before the other spy, and then escaping in either the elevator or (in Modern mode) some unusual getaway vehicle. The winner is the player who collects all 4 artifacts from the map and then escapes." - Wiki
I hope this will be a full 3D retail game and not some silly 2D arcade title.
I really would love to see there take on the online and go back to setting up traps and trying to outwit people to get to the safes.
I played Spy vs Spy on PS2 a lot with my friends. It wasn't a great game, but I think that was why we enjoyed it so much. It was just about senseless violence. Such a fun game and I will be keeping an eye out for this game.
I used to play Spy vs Spy years ago on the Speccy. Hope they do bring out a new version. Though the shot they show looks just the same as the old version.
I remember playing Spy vs. Spy on my old Gameboy Color. What an awesome game that was. Lots of fun, can't wait to play this new one!
How could this site not even mention the Spy vs. Spy games before the 2004 version? o_o
