HCKBlog.com writes, "Now that the Nintendo 3DS game Kid Icarus Uprising has hit the streets, we finally can get a glimpse behind the curtain at Nintendo’s end game regarding this title. The answer is, marketing. What was the question, you ask? The question was, why did this game get delayed so much? It was one of the first announced titles for the 3DS and it’s taken a long time to get it into consumer’s hands. I haven’t had a chance to play the game proper yet, but I have been noticing some very telling trends on Nintendo’s part."

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Nintendo filed a lawsuit in the United States Court of International Trade.
Nintendo of America is suing the United States government over the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place last year, according to a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade and obtained by Aftermath.
LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.
It's just a bonus to a wonderfully developed game.
This guy needs to actually play the game. The AR cards are not as exciting as his nerdy wet dreams imagine.
That said, the game itself is FANTASTIC and its kinda sad that the AR cards are the thing he is MOST excited for.
Um they aren't required to play the game first of all. Second I believe everything can be unlocked through gameplay....the cards just help you unlock things faster. Also Streetpass let's you trade items with others so you don't need to buy all the cards. This was done to extend the gameplay of the game. It gives it an extra feature to keep you busy. No one forces you to buy the cards. Plus its not like Nintendo doesn't give you them free as well. 6 caome with the game. 1 was given at Nintendo world store. 3 were given for club nintendo members. And at least 2 were given in magazines so far in the states. Those were all free ! On a side note, Dark Pit was one of the 6 that came with my game :)
