Bitmob: It doesn't matter if the people one meet's in thatgamecompany's Journey are there or not, but that doesn't mean they aren't still crucial to the experience (contains spoilers).

Shaz from GL: "The way Journey evokes emotions through its narrative without using traditional storytelling methods is something no game has been able to replicate."

The composer behind Journey, Austin Wintory, recently had a chance to revisit the classic game, just in time for its tenth anniversary.
My fav indie game ever, played this on ps4 and ps5. Too bad it does not have a plat trophy.

Jenova Chen told us about the development of the game.
I dunno, I think having other people in it adds quite a bit. When I encountered the first multiplayer person when I played through, i wondered if it was a real person or a tutorial person. It's THAT well integrated.
Something special is lost if you aren't with another person.
if you think it's useless you clearly are not looking at the game right, go back to call of duty
My partners helped me along the way, showing me things I wouldn't have known otherwise. One guy saved my life as I almost walked straight into the "flying spotlight"
I think bitmob doesn't get the point of the multiplayer. It's not useless, but an integral part of the overall emotion and atmosphere of the game.
