Top 5 Hardest Self-Imposed Gaming Challenges

GameDynamo - "There are some games that are hard. There are even those games which can be downright unforgiving. But the cruelest, most difficult challenge will often come from the players themselves. Here are five that I've seen or taken part in on various games."

arm cannon only was the modus operandi for me and my brother in ALL megaman games, we didn't even knew this was some kind of challenge, we just did because we couldn't get our heads around all that weapons...

we did finish contra with only 3 lives though, so arm cannon only was not that bad...

Try platinum on Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition.

I_am_Batman5174d ago

I agree.
I have the platinum on SFIV. That was a tough one. The hardest thing were the Trials. Normally everyone has his prefered 3-5 characters but to get the platinum you have to learn the mechanics of all characters in depth. I Haven't tried SSFIVAE yet but it should be even harder since you have more characters.

Hisiru5174d ago

Exactly! I have my 4 favorite characters, and the trials is a pain in the a** for me, but there is more. Evil Ryu and Oni Akuma on the hardest settings are like demons.

It's even harder (much harder, actually).

kesvalk5174d ago

i would, but i don't have a PS3/X360, and even then, i would not waste money on street fighter...

Why is Sigma 2 on the list? Both Sigma's are easier than the previous versions.

Konami Delists Some Metal Gear Games From Digital Stores Without Warning

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker HD have been delisted from digital stores without warning.

cloganart89d ago

I mean, it makes sense. With Vol.2 coming and all that

Commentby89d ago

Stupid headline. Should state that they are being updated or discontinued. This makes the crazy people that only read headlines think it some kind of conspiracy to take away peoples already purchased games.

jjb198189d ago

If you want to all of a sudden own them now and haven't played them yet because a remastered is coming out, shame on you. I can't believe people are complaining about this 15 years later when it was bound to happen anyway. "A new remaster is out, quick, I'd better buy the original from the shop."

gigoran889d ago

Gamers: "Physical? who needs physical? everyone knows that digital online games are the future. stop living in the past. we don't need no stinking disc drive"

Same gamers: "How dare the delist a digital game that I own!!!!"

computeSci89d ago (Edited 89d ago )

And? What is your point?

Same gamers: "How dare the retailers to delist (quit selling) a physical game that I own!!!!"

I think you just read the headline and don't know how dilisting works with Sony. It's common knowledge that:

"Players who already bought the games will still have them in their library and can download and play them as usual."

So again, what is your point?

Capcom says it wants Mega Man, Devil May Cry, and Ace Attorney to be 'core IPs' like Monster Hunter

Sorry if you were expecting Bionic Commando.

ZeekQuattro160d ago

Actions speak louder than words. Show me a new Mega Man game that isn't a collection of games I played yesteryear. If they can churn out some kind of RE game every other year they can make a new Mega Man entry. It's not like it's known for its deep stories.

Christopher159d ago

I can see DMC, but the others just weren't built for that without some major adjustments on how they're played.

lukasmain159d ago (Edited 159d ago )

If they make the right choices and right kinds of games, the Mega-Man IP could potentially be made into an animated film or streaming series like the success of Mario and Sonic. Surely that thought may have crossed their minds? Or am I being silly? I mean there is a lot more water to go under the bridge for them to even start considering that. But I used to be a big mega-man fan back in the day. I'd love to see it happen.

It’s being done on purpose just to destroy inafune . It’s some pride stuff on the inside .

blacktiger159d ago

all talk and if they launch it will cost $200

shinXseijuro159d ago

Just like the guys said . I’ll believe it when I see it . Even the shareholders are asking questions regarding Megaman . I don’t want to sound ludacris but I have a strong conviction that the heads at Capcom are purposely holding the Megaman IP down because of their grudge and spite towards inafune on some deeper Japanese honour code stuff . It’s deeper than we think . You can tell something isn’t right .

VersusDMC159d ago

Well i hope DMC is being worked on. Either a remake of 1 or 6 will do.

And bring back Megaman X. Either regular, command mission or make it a Metroidvania since silksong is so popular.

they can't get a 14 year old game to run smoothly?

jjb1981159d ago

That's ridiculous, lol. I'm waiting for the guy that says its too cpu-intensive for the Switch 2. This game is old af and has been released like 17 times.
