Double Fine Productions currently has multiple games in development besides its upcoming puzzle adventure game, Keeper.

Double Fine Productions has teased the next Time Schafer game in the latest episode of PsychOdyssey on YouTube.

I believe its the best way for indie studios to get funded by gamers to develop what we wanna play
I don't suggest everyone with a video game idea to just choose Kickstarter as a place to go. I think dedication and SHOWING gamers you can make a great game is the best bet.
Honestly I think its good for consumers. Indie bundles are also very good. 5 games for as low as $5? Ile take it. Usually one of those games being at least AA quality.
I love Kickstarter as a game funding tool. There are lots of creator that I would directly pay to see new product from. The flip side, however, is the inevitable glut of crap games seeking funding that no one will care about, which, while an annoyance, does seem like a problem that will take care of itself (projects that don't meet their funding goals disappear...). I just read about this millionaire lottery winner seeking a million to develop a game, even though he had no game-making experience. He just wants to supply ideas to creators that he hires. Sounds a bit scattershot and sketchy, and he probably won't meet his goal. Serious game developers should keep Kickstarter in mind, going into the future, though.
