Gamatsu: Apparently EA is following that Activision has left since last year with its payment service "Call of Duty Elite".

Today a member of the company stated that referring to the multiplayer experience of Battlefield...

Its like what myself and many other people have been saying for quite a while now, and its that EA is a "Me Too" company. If Activision does something, EA say "me too". If Sony does something, EA says "me too". If Steam does something, EA say "me too".

Original >>>> EA's copy:

WOW >>>>> SWTOR
COD >>>>> BF
Steam >>> Origin
Starcraft >>> Command an Conquer
Skyrim/Fable >> Amaleur
God of War >>>> Dante's Inferno

and the list goes on

Now i'll be honest, BF was awesome before EA thought it was a good idea to try and make it compete with cod -_-

Battlefield 1942 - 2002, Call of Duty - 2003
Command and Conquer - 1995, Starcraft - 1998
Ehh... The Bard's Tale - 1985....

EA don't copy everything, they have some pretty interesting properties. Dead Space, for example, has become a much better survival horror series than what RE and Silent Hill have developed in to, Burnout is consistantly popular and Mirror's Edge was a pretty fresh idea.

No, they are doing it right. Gamers keep buying this BS and that is why other companies are doing it. Gamers are sheep, and fortunately for these corporations most gamers come from affluent families, the perfect combo to squeeze you for all you got. There is nothing you can do, just fork over your money and keep crying.

Idiots giving into Activision's Elite & DLC crap , no wonder the franchise went downhill post COD 4 , these idiots will buy anything.

These new generation of cod players are so dumb , instead of giving them a $60 DLC each year they should just release a video of a guy who walks out onto the Stage and says, "Look at the shiney shiney, Look at the shiney shiney", so brain washed.

Makes you wonder if MW3 would be enjoyable if you "sustained a massive head injury".

EA are not doing it wrong by not charging for their service, Activision are just dicks.

I've been saying the same thing about all sports games, Buy FIFA 12 and next year offer a $30 DLC for a massive update. Now I understand updates (like from FIFA 11 to 12) probably would be too big of a download and probably require another disc. I also understand companies love the fact that we're willing to drop $60 on a game released yearly.

We can dream thou, lol

If it's optional like COD Elite, I don't see what the problem is.

When logic meets EA it generates anti-matter ..... so try not to apply it in any meaningful way. Entropy is what matters in there !!

The community warned them this would happen but nope they knew better they continued with the live service push the made the art style cartoonish and this is the result

isarai_lee86d ago

It's always so bizarre when studios announce something super early in development under the suggestion of forming the game to player feedback, and then they push against all feedback heading straight for the cliff while everyone is warning them along the way

lol ya think? they're sending all that work to the cheaper labor market as soon as possible. and FYI, that labor market has exploded in the last 5-10 years. They have enough people to replace every single job. But honestly, EA is over filled with useless upper management as it is. You could probably trim 25% of their staff with no real loss in production. They aren't gamers, they're business execs. Just look at how many AI related jobs they're already starting to post. Its also hilarious that PIF owns Battle field 6

Wait,

The same congress that attacked Lina Khan when she fought the Microsoft Activision purchase.
The same congress that allowed Disney to buy 90% of Fox
The same congress that allowed Liv Golf to buy the PGA
The same congress that sits back while Paramount tries a hostile takeover despite losing the bid for Warner Bros.

NOW, the suddenly cares about doing what's "right" for works? Yeah, right.

EA now owned by The Saudis and Ubisoft to inevitably be owned by China. In hindsight, once EA and Ubisoft started having their financial woes, they should have pulled a Koei Tecmo/Bandai Namco by merging their operations into one.
