its still psn....

anyway I can't stop playing this and I hope Sony or tgc release details about the soundtrack!

ziggurcat5171d ago

i was just going to say...

i guess people don't get that SEN is just the umbrella group for the various playstation-related services, including PSN.

CarlitoBrigante5171d ago

Its sits on 93/100 proudly.

Thank you Sony

Long Live Play

GribbleGrunger5171d ago

perhaps a retail disc with Flower, Flow and Journey in the future would be a pretty good move.

MariaHelFutura5171d ago

Or a full PS4 game. I think they fully deserve a big budget title.

pr0digyZA5171d ago

They have already said they were interested in a boxset with all their games, because they wanted to see how many people they weren't reaching with digital only. So hopefully there is an announcement soon (e3 perhaps?)

NukaCola5171d ago

@Gribble

Dude that is a good idea. I would like to see thatgamecompany polish up a nice HD version of clOud.. It was mostly a PC concept but the idea of being a cloud and growing is brilliant. Could add rain and thunder too. I got to say Kellee and Jenova have the best indi team in the business. AAA quality in such a small package.

frostypants5171d ago

I need to DL this game. I love what I've heard about the multiplayer aspects...sounds very unconventional, much like Demon's Souls/Dark Souls.

These are the games people remember 10 years later, as opposed to Call of Duty 55: OCD Warfare Lulz.

Hellsvacancy5171d ago

So when im runnin around and meet other "people" are they REAL players, i mean like me?

Sounds like a dumb question, i made my mind up ages ago i was gonna buy it, i havnt read any reviews or info, i just waited and bought it, went in not knowin much about the game at all

pr0digyZA5171d ago

I don't have it, but I have heard that you meet one person at a time (that person is real). You cant speak to them except through a sort of chirp.

It's metacritic score is actually at 93 now. I can't stop playing this game over and over. I'm actually finding it difficult to play other games.

guitarded775171d ago

Agreed, the game is amazing, sometimes I just sit my character down and pan around and enjoy the view... so pretty. I think it's interesting when people mention the game in terms of downloadable game of the year... I think it may be a real contender for overall game of the year. I know there's still a long way to go this year, but so far Journey has been the best of the best for me.

schlanz5171d ago

Played through 3 times already, love this game. Truly one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had..multiplayer is brilliant, the artistry sublime.

Captain Qwark 95171d ago

i may have to try it, the videos looked boring as hell though. could just be one of those games you need to experience to understand though.

rezzah5171d ago

Personally I don't find that it looks boring, but I would agree that it is a game that you must play in order to understand why it is great.

Ico is another one of those types of games.

Captain Qwark 95171d ago

yeah i wasn't a fan of ico myself. colossus was better but i still didn't understand all the rave about it, yes it was different and yes it was solid but people made it out to be one of the best games ever and for me, it wasn't. but no matter, everyone has their own opinion. im a very open minded person about games, ill try anything, including this and ill see for myself. its just gonan have to wait until after me3 and armored core 5.

CarlitoBrigante5171d ago

ICO and SotC are one of the best games ever, it just that a some people, like you don't understand what art is.

You guys are satisfied with simplistic things, nothing wrong with that, but you guys gotta keep playing, seeing, hearing your simplistic things. When you overstep the boundary you will find yourself bashing without understanding its values.

Captain Qwark 95171d ago

omg yes its becuase im a brain dead idiot that i dont understand "art" my simplistic brain just cannot comprehend the brilliance of such a masterpiece.

hmmmm no, im sure since your so intellectually superior to me you will be able to detect all that sarcasm. sorry man, just becuase you like something doesn't mean i will. its not the art i don't appreciate about it. in fact, the graphic style is excellent as is the sound and even the story, simple, effective, even touching. The game-play is also very unqiue however despite those, as a package they just don't stimulate my mind like they do yours, it has nothing to do with my appreciation or lack of appreciation for "art". i just didn't find the games as entertaining as you.

bobrea5171d ago (Edited 5171d ago )

@CarlitoBrigante

Get off your high horse and stop acting like your shit doesn't stink. I can already tell I would absolutely hate you if I were to meet you in real life. You're so far up your own ass, it's ridiculous. He didn't like it, so what?

Nac5171d ago

Went through it late last night. I was a little bit tired so I think I might have missed some stuff but am going through it again later today. Really emotional experience. Things like this don't come around too often.

Nac5170d ago

Just did a second Journey, and was fully aware this time. I cried at the end. What of it?

Looks like PlayStation took a hit with Marathon and is now quietly adjusting prices worldwide to recover the losses

andy8514d ago

Lets be honest raising prices doesn't do that when no one's buying it. I imagine the profit it greater selling 10 times more at a lower price

Pergele14d ago

Whatever you say buddy, let's all wear the tinfoil hats.

IceKoldKilla14d ago (Edited 14d ago )

LMFAO Your comment alone says a lot more about you than anything else. When has one game not selling 10 million copies made a company raise the prices of their console? Then Xbox would be costing $5000 by now lol. You remind of the crazy drug addicts on the street rambling on about conspiracies. xD You sure you don't need a hug, buddy?

ChunkyMonk14d ago

One game that Sony payed $200 million for. lol
Also, you sure were quick to get triggered. Maybe your the one who needs a hug?

Eonjay14d ago

If nothing else, we should be united against the real issue here. AI and unnecessary tariffs that are effecting all gamers.

Athlon10115d ago (Edited 15d ago )

The price increases are due to the RAM demand associated with AI and the US-Iran war. You can look to any business news website and local news to see that. Heck, even the 2026 Asus Zenbook Duo I've been eyeing has faced delays and has had a price increase of $400; that laptop has two specs. Asus is doing a staggered release with per-orders for the lower spec now and shipping in May and pre-orders for the higher spec that I'm eyeing starting in June. Basically, all computer manufactures are affected. It'll most likely start affecting smart phones too if it hasn't already. I can't remember the last time any major console maker (Nintendo, Sony, Sega, etc) increased the price of their console mid cycle outside of Microsoft just to make more profit.

S2Killinit14d ago

Its not the war. Its the RAM issue.

jznrpg14d ago

War is causing gas prices to rise. Transport of everything requires gas so the prices of those items go up as well. So it does have an impact

Athlon10114d ago (Edited 14d ago )

The blockage of the Straight of Hormuz due to the US-Iran war has affected raw components used in semi-conductor manufacturing such as bromine, aluminum, and helium. Iran had attacked the liquified natural gas (LNG) plant in Qatar which is a large producer (1/3 globally) of helium which is used in semiconductor etching. So it's the both the war and the RAM crises.

badz14914d ago

Oh no...should I get the Pro now before the price increase?

I dont think that'll ever happen. But i must say back in the day, they were definitely trying because they were more cash rich than their competitors.

CosmicTurtle27d ago

I think MS were and still are the richer company. They tried to acquire Sega back in the day (and considered doing so again more recently), they obviously bought exclusivity to Halo which was originally shown as a Mac title. I don’t think as a company MS can claim the moral high ground here. It’s a wilful lack of self awareness.

Of course Sony would try exactly the same if they had the resources, but when the PS2 dominated the industry was in a much healthier place with an abundance of great third parties.

This has been a depressing generation as far as first party decisions are concerned. The fact we are debating business plans rather than which game is better is a sad reflection of the state of things.

Darkseeker28d ago (Edited 28d ago )

There was Nintendo as well, Sony wouldn't have had a monopoly. In fact, the world would be better today if Xbox never existed in the first place. They pretty much brought all bad practices we have today. We might have gotten all of it either way, but not this early. In term of franchises, I don't think there is anything Microsoft released that would actually be missed if it didn't exist. Even Halo the world wouldn't notice if Halo didn't exist.

S2Killinit27d ago

MS was definitely a bad influence on gaming.

raWfodog27d ago

I think almost everyone will agree that a monopoly is not good for the industry. But that being said, the competition needs to be smart and strategic with their business. Simply buying up publishers and traditional third-party studios just to keep them out of the other companies reach is not a sustainable practice. That goes for all parties so don't think I'm just referring to Xbox.

I'm no business guru by any stretch of the imagination but I firmly believe that the best way to drive consumers to your software and hardware is to invest smart in your first-party studios. Give them full support and guidance in making unique, fun games that are only available to play in your ecosystem and the gamers will come.

Reaper22_27d ago (Edited 27d ago )

But first party studios aren't enough. They only make up a small portion of the industry. Without 3rd party there would be no industry for Microsoft or sony.Developing games take time and money and sometimes you gotta make moves to stay competitive.

raWfodog27d ago

Nah, I never said first-party was enough. I said it’s the ‘best way’ to drive gamers to your platform. 3rd-party is a free-for-all and there’s no guarantee that gamers will use your hardware to play the game. If you want to push your own software and/or hardware you need first-party, or at least exclusive deals with third-party studios.

SimpleDad27d ago

They Shure did a great job... 25 years later Xbox is dead.

Reaper22_27d ago

Then why be so emotional and continue to talk about it. Xbox will never die be ause it stays in so many people's head.

lodossrage27d ago

How can you even see him being "emotional" in that comment?

If anything, you're the emotional one, constantly trying to go at anyone that says anything against Microsoft. So when you call him emotional, it comes off as deflection

Elda27d ago

I own an XBSX & I can say it's becoming irrelevant out of the 3 current consoles.
