Its not like Ubisoft cares about the Rainbow/Ghost Recon franchise anymore. They're too busy pumping out AC titles every year.

Ubisoft are a business and to stay in business they must go for games that will defiantly sell well over games that could. Its annoying for us that there are fewer publishers who take risks but at least this way they can stay in business

You're definitely right, it simply makes sense economically, but I look at other industries such as fashion where the mainstream trends come from smaller developers and constantly shift. Film has also begun dipping into "indie" trends because they are effective but also cheaper (for example found footage films) Video game publishers seem to have found a comfort zone, not that'll always be like this, but as you sad "its annoying for us".

Ergh, the games already falling apart! I was keen to purchase this....

This sounded like a real mature game with emotional decisions and consequences...now...ugghhh. Thanks Ubisoft, way to go!!!! yeah! I'm really looking forward to AC 26:the pants.

If this is true, then development hell confirmed. The game probably is going to a complete overhaul. SMH.

I don't know why Ubisoft continually does this with their games.

I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.

Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.

But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.
