I stopped playing bf3 2 month back and haven`t even looked at it sense that.. They destroyd the battlefield games imo with this instalment.

Maps is huge - yet its a cluster fu** because the flags are
"call of duty" close - what happend to the huge maps ?

The only time i see any one use the "full area of the map" is when they do "EPIC apc jumps over hellicopters or something else that is not "combat".

And this dlc is a joke - Dice say it will be awesome...

Well.. let me just say this: Shotgun with explosive ammo and grenade spam... take my word for it... You will test the maps for 1 week and then you will just say: This sucks because noobs sit behind corners and throw granades and use shootguns with explosive shells...

I will never look at bf3 again before they go back to:

1. Make the distance between flags bigger
2. No cod cluster fuck maps
3. Take away the fucking shotgun explosives that is spamed by noobes that cant aim 4 shit

i don't think a few more cqb maps will hurt, but they need to keep to their roots and not be another cod. i would to see them add some new gadgets, zip line or grappling hook! some cqb player models would be nice also along with new camo.

Heres how a lot of ppl are feeling. Dice is making it more appealing to CoD kids by making EXTREMELY tiny maps. BF has never had maps of this size nor has it had maps without vehicles. If you want a game that is infantry based with no vehicles go play CoD there is a game mode where there are no perks and no kill streaks. BF is not the place for you. All the people who say BF is a place for EVERY type of fighting are wrong. The only vanilla BF maps that come ever close to old BF maps are Kharg Island, Operation Firestorm and Caspian Border. The other maps mess with the balance of the game. Shotguns in this game are extremely weak compared to any other previous BF game. BF games are meant for extremely large maps with tons of vehicles. The current BF3 has maybe 3 tanks at max on each side which is way. Karkand is considered one of the largest maps in BF3 but by BF2 standards it was extremely tiny with the new DLC there is less and less of BF left. These maps do not belong in any BF game ever. BF had plenty of variety before. Theres not a single tanking map in BF3 nor is there one with plenty of air superiority.

Before people say quit whining, NO just because your new to the series and like these new maps doesnt mean they should be there. Operation Metro shouldnt even exist. Its entire purpose is to bring over CoD kiddies and guess what? It worked. Now there are CoD kiddies in BF who think theyre part of BF but only play the tiny maps. These kids are changing how Dice make maps. If they get their way there wont be any large maps in BF4.

If things dont change then BF is dead.

Close quarters might be a nice diversion and theres nothing wrong with variety. Battlefield will never be/feel like CoD, because BF's realistic gun physics, controllable gun attatchments, and fire rate make for a more tactical experience, even in a round of straight up team deathmatch.

Also, Small infantry maps are great for working on unlocks for your favorite gun. After all your more likely to shoot more people in a round of TDM on a small version of, say, Noshar Canals, than you are in a game of conquest on the larger maps. And despite what some people will tell you, I don't feel any shame in booting upa few rounds of TDM every once in a while.

They have to make some major gameplay adjustments for close quarters to work.
1. Grenade spam
2. Frag rounds
3. Everyone will equip the m249
4. Everyone will equip the rocket launchers
5. Dao-12 and USAS will be the most used weapons

DICE - don't make it like COD. We like BF because it isn't COD.

Variety of maps are a good thing. Who would whine about this?

What i want is a level in a large area of nyc around times square, with little bird's, tanks, jets, heli's... and scared pedestrians running around, as well as buildings you can go into, sounds fun right ?

As many people have said, it doesn't harm trying out a new style of play. Armored Kill will probably be worth waiting for.
