The story in DMC was much different than the story in DMC 2, which was much different than the story in DMC 3, which was much different than the story in DMC 4. So, tell me...what are you talking about? Capcom has always been loose with the story of Devil May Cry. I don't see a problem with this one. Insults? Ego? Why do you say that?

1) you are not everyone and i dont believe everyone is familiar with all forms of Lord of the Rings.

2) imo, i dont think you know enough about DMC universe which people have been following fir about a decade, or you dont know the difference between sequels and prequels and this so called reboot. Let me explain the difference:

DMC 1-4= same universe but different support characters and threats, set at different times of the DMC universe.

2) DMC 1-4= metal, goth, dark

New DMC= washed out arty style, colourful, dubstep

3) DMC 1-4= crazy combat, fast, fluid, 60fos needed to pull it off.

New DMC= 30fps from a dev that has never ever proven to be able to pull of combat off better than average.

So if other than the name all has changed, why even call it DMC? From being a human devil mix he is nw a devil angel mix. Hw does this affect Vergil who is also key to the DMC story. How does this effect Trish who is also important and designed to look like Dantes mother i.e human. The name Devil May Cry cones from Trish crying at the end of DMC 1. If there is no Trish or Trish is an angel, it changes a lit more than just a hairstyle.

New DMC= new universe, transformed characters, history, story and gameplay i.e ither than the bame, there is nothing which makes it DMC.

If you were a geek or a fan of the DMC universe, i wouldnt need to explain any of this!
