
Valve has released a new Steam client update, which all users of the game distribution service can download using the Steam File menu. This update fixes some issues involving 64-bit games.

So this effected about 0.08% of the games which run 64bit?
2012 and still hardly any support for 64bit...
I don't know why companies still support 32bit on modern systems. The systems which are 32-bit only (Early Pentium 4 / Athlon XP era I think?) would not really be powerful enough to run modern software anyway..
Everything later than the Prescott P4s which I believe were the first Intel's to support 64bit and the AMD64 CPUs except from ultra mobile CPUs are all 64-bit capable.
Supporting the two (only slightly different) CPU architectures causes a lot of problems on the Operating System level, I think MS should just stop supporting 32bit only Windows at all, since the 64-bit version can run 32-bit programs anyhow.
Only problem would be the lack of DOS and 16-bit application support under 64-bit versions of Windows...
