Just another FPS...more and more the ps3 is starting to look like an xbox...yeah thats the market, but ps3 owners like myself want variety...thats why we dont buy a 360. This is not a disappointment considering KZ2 and everything else to come.

I'm highly doubting Aug 2008, that would be a crazy ass delay...Almost 10 months something really serious would have to be pretty messed up...The FPS market is really pretty much a joke anyway, it seems like you got one coming out every week and unless it's something special, it's gonna sell like crap...

wow, that is a kick in the nuts! Amazon has it listed for a March 18th release. at least not August.

Well, the more PS3's the more sales and time to tighten the game up, nobody should be whining.

I highly doubt this game gets anything less than an 8 with august as the new date.

And 07 titles became 08. I wouldn't be surprised if many 08 titles become 09 titles. I'm not talking about MGS4, since that was an 07 title, I'm talking about FFXIII, FFVersus, Resident Evil, Heavy Rain, LA Noire, inFamous, 8 days, War Devil and what not.

Its a mistake, I dont believe it. Hw could they say its nearly done and then delay it that much. Sure mayne a month or two I'd but, but thats just too crazy. Expect a retraction soon.

It be a regional delay outside of the PAL region, as Free Radical are basing in the Midlands (Middle of England), so it would be likely that hte PAL version would launch first, similarly to how Heaveny Sword was released slightler earlier (demo included) in the UK (and EU PSN - for the demo) and Ninja Theory are also UK based.
Its a possible turn of events, just look at games like Uncharted and Lair, their US releases were far ahead of their EU counter-parts.

The delay would be credible if 2-3 months but not 8.

The only way that could be true is if there was a major problem or ....

... Ubisoft has seen how saturated the market is with FPS and the pickiness of Ps3 buyers especially with respect to UT3(ie. wait till the install base is larger to increase sales).

The latter is more feasible if this delay is true.

make an actual announcement if it was delayed? Its kind of a big title for them, they're hyping it a lot, yet staying clear of over hyping. I think someone screwed up on the website.

That game always looked like it could use a delay. I think Ubisoft was rushing Free Radical, but with the success of Assassin's Creed, Haze releasing this year was no longer important.

Wtf this is stupid. How can it be delayed by a whole year from its orginal release date. It was getting ok reviews in the previews. Maybe they really want this to be a Killzone or the next big thing.

Many were looking forward to this release, hopefully the extra time will go toward something useful and productive and make the game better in the end.
This game always seemed like they released information about it too early, hopefully some of the pitfalls that have plagued titles with potential like Area 51 can be handled before release.

another delay not surprised at the delay. which bring up a question. if dev's use the ps3 as the lead platform. will 360 fan have to suffer with delays or just pushed back on development just to get the game right for the ps3?

i think the reason why the game was delay again. is not because of grahic or bugs. it's because of the install base.ubisoft wants to make to make sure they turn a profit with this game on the ps3. i mean with the install base low and people not really buying games for the ps3 as sony or dev's would like to see.plus they want to generate enuff hype for this game that people would want to buy it.

There are allot of big titles popping up at the beginning of 2008. This could just be delayed to avoid the GTA4 rush. Plus HAZE has not gained any BUZZ and they need the extra time to BEEF the game up get some ads and promotions out.

Just my 2cents.
I think HAZE will be great on PS3 and 360. Lest just give it some time. Frontlines is about to come out ans UNREAL III is on PS3 and 360 real soon.

Haze is just a clone of Halo. How hard can it be to copy another game?

i think aug is a default date most gaming site has them until they get something solid they put a date like this so people shut up asking. As for GTA4 that aint gonna be out early 2008 it will be lucky to come out in 2008 as it seems take two interactive are in trouble right now and EA may be buying them out and thats no doubt gonna push back the title.

How can something be delayed again, when the Release date hasn't even been set yet lol. This game will come out febuary/march and to be perfectly honest i`m glad, hopefully it will make a better game with extra development time as at stands this game looks mediocre in my eyes.

Haze as a pre-christmas game this year would make it sell very well I think, but now I can't see Haze as anything but a huge failure. In August -08 it will be in the shadows of other great games comming or that allready are released. What we have seen of Haze until now is nothing that could compete with beasts like Killzone 2 or Metal Gear Solid 4. Haze is simple not good enough for 2008 in the state it is now, I think. Hopefully they use this time to make the game look better, play better and everything like that so it could compete with the other '08 games, even if I doub't it.

haze will not push consoles. KZ2, MGS4 and FF will. It is only natural for them to delay. With money made from AC and others ubi is making a $$$ decision.

Wow a 2 month delay is understandable but AUGUST?! I really wanted to pick up this game but with all the delays, I am not gonna bother any more.

Well this really bites but if this means the game will be better that is fine by me.

I can wait just make sure it perfect before releasing it.

WOW!!! more bad news for us ps3 fans! first little big planet,MGS4 and now HAZE now im starting to believe that the PS3 does suck right now.SONY IS IN THIRD PLACE BEHIND THE 360 AN THE WII WE MAY JUST LOSE THIS CONSOLE WAR AFTER ALL.

This only confirms that many games that are coming for early 2008 will be delay until late 2008.

id rather wait for a great polished game then a half ass game with all kinda buggs like ac had they should have delayed ac imo. it has way to many problems on both systems

If this is true, those Free Radical guys really fvcked up. Assassin's Creed deserved a delay but that didn't keep Ubi from releasing it anyway. Don't get why they are delaying Haze so much.

This is crazy. I thought I read somewhere on this site that the game was basically finished and that the delays were more on the part of ubisoft rather than anything that FR had left to do to work on the game. Wonder if it's more of a financial thing for ubisoft, maybe they want it closer to the holidays? I don't know. Doesn't make sense. I think the first announcement of delays was in ubisoft's press release that they were making more money than they thought they were going to make this quarter on assassins creed and whatever else.

If it weren't for the amazing Co-op the ,split screen 4 player etc... all the bells and whistles this baby is gonna be throwing at us id be Pissed off!but since they are gonna do an amazing job on it and are figuring out Cell development ,then by all means take your time but release it in this year please!!!!

Lair has the best soundtrack of a major game flop that I can remember. I still listen to it from time to time on Youtube.

I love the fact that at least someone remembers,
during the PS3 era how many bad games, and studios were shuttered during that era. you get nothing but rose-colored/ perfect hindsight about that now...

Haze broke me. I was such a massive fan of Timesplitters that I didn't believe for one second they could make such a generic, sub-par game. It even had a couple of neat ideas, but nothing that could save it from utter failure.

I learnt a harsh lesson from that game.
