Microsoft has unveiled the title it's been developing under the codename of Project Draco, and the reasons behind the game's unabashed Panzer Dragoon similarities have become clear. Offering the title up to public scrutiny at an Xbox fan event in Akihabara over the weekend, the company revealed that the game, developed by Panzer creator Yukio Futatsugi, will be titled Crimson Dragon and will serve as a spiritual continuation of the Sega series.
Jahanzeb writes: "There was a time when Microsoft pursued the Japanese market with optimistic vigour, and although they could barely forge a market share, Xbox enthusiasts were better off for having a pretty enviable selection of exclusives, many which have now become valuable collectibles.
Granted, while a lot of these games have since been ported to PlayStation systems (and understandably so, how else were they meant to break-even?), here are five Japanese developed games which still remain exclusive to Xbox consoles and are worth having in any collection."
Back in the Xbox days there was an exclusive game from Atlus called Shin Megami Tensei Nine. Always wanted to play it but the game never released in the west.
No mention of From materpieces like Otogi, Tenchu and Ninja Blade either...
Microsoft had a good relationship with From Software.....time to rejuvenate that relationship
@Spurg Doubtful. FromSoftware multiplatform games already come out on MS platforms, and they're not gonna make exclusive deals with them again to avoid lost sales in Japan. Not to mention that Japanese companies are probably gun-shy at making exclusive deals with Microsoft after the Scalebound fiasco.
Why Platinum took MS money for years and used it to make other games not called scalebound. MS had to pullbthe plug eventually. If anything Japanese devs look to MS as a funding source
If their so worried about the Japanese market than they will never make the kind of money they should. This will be a set back till they change

I was super excited to play Blue Dragon back in the day since I loved Dragon Quest VIII so much. Bought an Xbox 360 for Blue Dragon, Fable 2, Bioshock, and Mass Effect. I played about 5-6 games on my 360 and it died 3 times. The last time I checked is when I pulled it out to play Jade Empire (which I wish they would remake or make a sequel to). Man, that hardware sucked.
Yup my Xbox 360 finally got the rrod one day and I never fixed it or replaced it, I was already prepared for it, it was inevitable lol

All I want is rare replay. I'd Pay $100 for the games bundle. I just want the Banjo's, Conker and Kameo titles. The rest I'll pass on, maybe keep battle toads though the only battle toads game I really liked was the Double dragon and battle toads title on SNES
Hold on a sec but didn't some people on here on say that all xbox games are on pc and therefore there is no need to own an Xbox One

You need to rethink this one. That made no sense. Microsoft games, not RockStar games, also a PC would run RDR2 better than a console. Don't get how you mention running better then go on to run from a comparison. Games just run better on PC, it's just that simple. Don't gotta be a blind fanboy.
I do. And I have Pro, X1X, and gaming pc. I don’t discriminate, a good game is a good game.
There are literally 4 games on this list. All of them from the first couple years of the gen.

So he mentions only 4 games that aren't on pc but it doesn't change the fact that there are people who say something like "all you need is a ps4, switch & PC" or " there's no point in owning an Xbox One as all its exclusives are on pc" now does it
Doesn't really change that no. But if one has a variety of consoles, 4 games isn't really going to be much of a reason to buy a new console. That's typically the context by which people use the expression.
Personally, I think it's kind of dumb, as I don't think that PC and console gamers overlap that much. But I do feel that if one has a good enough PC, and isn't adverse to using it for gaming, then the X1 becomes fairly superfluous, while other consoles have more to offer in said scenario.

4 games and 2 are halo. 2 titles are also just rereleases of older games in a comp. So it's really 2. No one is worried about 1 and the other is one weak ass excuse for a Halo title. Reason no one talks about it no more. So yes, when that statement is said, it's right.
So how does what you said refute how people claim that every Xbox exclusive is on pc
The Xbox One has been had a rough journey this generation. Mostly due to lack of exclusive titles but the system has mostly redeemed itself thanks to backward compatibility, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Play Anywhere. Microsoft has come a long way since the original Xbox and it wasn't luck, a lot of acclaimed titles helped bolster the system's reputation over the years. I don't really know if it matters in regards to this article. Halo Combat Evolved was on PC. Conker was a remake of N64 game. In Forza Horizon is also a PC game.
I miss the days when they got games like this.. Whenever MS gets their head out of their a$$ ill buy their console again..
... but rumour has it that this game will be Kinect-exclusive, so that kinda drops all my interest right there.
