Cherish it, no matter what side you’re on. The Nintendo 3DS vs PlayStation Vita “Handheld War” could be the last of its kind. Handheld flame wars have been going on since the Game Boy vs Atari Lynx battle of 1989, but that could all come to end sooner than you think.

I can not speak for others, but this will not be the final battle for the elite innovative Nintendo handheld consoles. Nintendo will continue the fight and carry on with the great tradition that it always has. New and improved Nintendo quality handhelds will continue to arrive well into the future.
This is only the beginning of the life of the Nintendo 3DS. In the near future there will be many many new 1st class exclusives for the Nintendo 3DS. If dinosaurs still roamed the earth and had a choice to pick a handheld device. Chances are they in the blink of an eye waddle over to the Nintendo section of the local game store and ask a team member to unlock a Nintendo 3DS.
All the dinosaurs will be able to experience Mario Kart 7 online together. While living together in peace.
The Nintendo 3DS is so amazing that it could make Kobe and Shaq play basketball together once more. They too will enjoy each others company over a nice fun filled game of Mario Kart 7 online.
Rated E for Everyone
This will be one of the most short lived handheld wars in the history of gaming. Nintendo has followed their own tradition of releasing new products with little to no innovation.
The Nintendo 3DS performs exactly like it's predecessor with their only new feature being 3-dimensional graphics, something Dark Sniper already enjoys on his PlayStation®3 Home Entertainment Database.
PlayStation® Vita comes completely armed as the first and only gaming handheld to feature 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, giving the consumer the versatility to stay connected with your friends at all times. PlayStation® Vita works in conjunction with PlayStation Network, which has endured a metamorphic change into Sony Entertainment Network. SEN completes the evolution process in transforming gaming into reality within the PlayStation universe.
When it comes to pound for pound specs in terms of quality, software and the total package, PlayStation® Vita knocks the 3DS with a first round knockout. There is no comparison.

People who still think this battle is Sony VS Nintendo are living in the past.
I'm wondering if some of the posters here actually read the linked article or just looked at the title and went off. The article says that handheld Nintendo and Sony gamers should be supporting each other and encouraging healthy competition, because a richer experience is what will allow them to stay relevant and prevent us all from living in a world where Angry Birds is the ONLY game choice. But, no, its just another excuse to hate on the other guy. Some of you make me sick because what you don't realize is that you love your specific handheld, but you are CAUSING its demise by railing on the other product. I love my 3DS, but if Vita tanks we're all in trouble.
