33 years of officially licensed gaming mag ends with the final issue of the Official PlayStation Magazine (UK).
I was an Xbox guy for most of the 360/PS3 generation, but I loved getting the demo discs every month.
I'm sad to see them go to, but with the every advancing internet, nothing in them was ever new or news even. Still it was my preferred reading material in the can.
I was a subscriber to the Dutch version for a few years. Still have the demo discs that came with it.
I had both the Dutch and the English magazines. The demo disc was the highlight of the month when I had my brand new PS1. Good times.
The end of an era, always loved getting the demo disks and catching up with the gaming news.
Admittedly, I haven't bought one myself for some time now, but it's still sad nonetheless. Especially as a kid from a working class family, I couldn't always get new games straight away so those demo discs were the way I played alot of games.
I played those right up until PS3 even. R.I.P OPM, and inevitable but sad day 😔
Last magazines I get are now PC Gamer and Game Informer. One by one they will all be gone one day.
It's official: Final Fantasy 16 is coming in 2021 and it's only on PS5. This next-gen debut for Final Fantasy will make use of all of the tech inside Sony's new console. But who are the new heroes, what is that massive fire demon, and what's the combat style this time around?
Final Fantasy 16, God Of War 2, Horizon 2, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and maybe even Gran Turismo 7 in one year? Damn.
If that's for year 1 only, I can't even imagine year 2 and beyond. It's going to be amazing.
It's coming in 2021. We've actually only been told that it's a launch window game but if was coming out this year, Sony would have told us already, and Insomniac are already putting out Miles Morales at launch.

by androidcentral is inaccurate.
Pretty sure they will release it around December if they say it will be a launch title.
I didn't play 15 because I wasn't sure about the modern setting. But I'm definitely playing this one, I think it looks amazing.
I thought the game itself was pretty fun, though I found the writing pretty bad. But that's generally how every FF goes for me - enjoyable game, generally OK story/narrative, pretty bad writing.
More than likely PS5 and PC.
It said it was coming to PC originally on the trailer but they removed it afterwards especially when people were saying they'd just get it on PC.
This is what happens when consoles don't commit to platform exclusivity. Why buy a $500 console and a $70 game when you can just get it on PC probably for $10 cheaper? I think Sony took that off so people wouldn't bring up that notion and dissuade people from possibly buying a console due to this "exclusivity".
Seeing how 15 came out on PC and 7 Remake will be on PC next year, I'd wager it's a sure fire bet this will, too.
Ah man this will be the first time I'll have to wait for ff because I went the pc route usually I buy consoles. I'm hoping for a simultaneous release
