The Super Nintendo Entertainment system was the clear winner in that epic battle. With industry leading 3rd party offerings, and world class Nintendo in house exclusives. The fire was too hot for SEGA and the Genesis.

Games that at the time were pushing 16 bit graphics, sound, and gameplay to the next level were found Exclusively on the Super Nintendo. Killer Instinct and Donkey Kong Country are 2 prime examples of great futuristic tech that the Genesis could not handle.

Just another reason why Nintendo is here running strong to this day, and why SEGA is making 3rd party offerings for Nintendo now.

Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.

Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.
