NeverDead Review: Push-Start.co.uk

NeverDead as a concept was something I was looking forward to – An immortal player character that could lose his limbs. What could possibly go wrong? Unfortunately almost everything did in fact go wrong.

"As a disclaimer I would like to mention at this point that I did not complete NeverDead, but feel that according to Wolpaw’s Law I don’t need to."

How about beginning with the fact that neither this reviewer nor his site have any listed standards on how they grade. That means they are free to make up anything willy nilly based upon how they feel that particular day rather than adhering to a set of methodical deductions upon which a game is carefully gauged.

I am not saying he is correct. I am also not indicating he is wrong. I am merely stating that for an individual to have several reviews under their belt without the slightest awareness of standards makes every single one of his past evaluations not only laughable but actually inconsequential. In the end his is an opinion without worth or merit.

I would no more trust the review of a person with zero standards than I would trust a doctor that has no guidelines for evaluating a medical condition.

The difference though is the doctor has had actual training and can at least appear to know what he is doing. Shaun Greenhaff...not so much.

Excerpt from article:
"Though I do look forward to a sequel, should one be made."

- Why give the game such a bad review if the author is looking forward to a possible sequel from the series.

I have not played the game yet and have only seen a video review which determined that it was a decent to good game. The game at the least seems interesting to at least try out. But the reviewer in this article does not make sense claiming they are interested in more from the series but then giving the game a bad score.

From the videos i've seen this game deserves that score TBH.

Gaming's Oddest Means Of Traversal

Game Informer

It’s no secret that half the fun of the imminently destructive Just Cause 3 is spying a location in the distance and using whatever means necessary to get there, whether it be paragliding, skydiving in a wingsuit, or hijacking a military jet with the help of an absurdly competent grappling hook. But before Just Cause 3 spurred the creation of a thousand hilarious gifs, the world of gaming had plenty of odd ways to get around. These are the weirdest means of traversal gaming has to offer.

I think Haze has to be the most dissapointing game of the generation. You have to remember the level of hype it was generating, you have to remember it was helmed by Free Radical of Timesplitters fame, you have to remember the PS3/360 flame wars. Not only did Haze bomb so badly, but it took down Free Radical with it.

Some games on that list however are not disappointments in teh same sense. For example, There wasn't anything really dissapointing about Rage, I absolutely loved the game. It was just abit short, in a few regards.

In my opinion The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, should be up there with Aliens Colonial Marines and Duke Nukem as one of the most disappointing games of the generation. It was a fail on so many different levels, and was not at all an XCOM game.

Sonic 2006 was one of the best games i have played this gen. Yes it has some glitches and there is a bit too much loading but the game in my opinion was fantastic.
