Thanks for the mention. It's always nice to know one's work is being noticed and appreciated. Here I was thinking I was just being a part of the site, and reporting what I felt was a lame write-up about an old, lame site as such; little did I know, I was part of the SDF conspiracy to put Sony back on top in the console war.

Guess we SDF people are going to have to step it up though; other than a few weeks in Japan, it's been pretty rough this last year.

MDF is a perfect example of everything wrong with Microsoft. It's only when a console is in this much trouble that the fandroids become so extreme. Notice how the PS3 and Wii gamers are capable of logical and intelligent thought while the fandroids on this site are blinded by their religious fanaticism and their hivemind mentality towards the 360.

heheheh. What are you talking about? Do you define trouble thusly: "Xbox 360 and Xbox 360 related products Selling more than half of the total industry value worldwide while Nintendo and Sony divide the rest".

Then you are correct, they are in "trouble".

You Sony Defence Force types can keep repeating your nonsense here on N4G, but the industry knows better. We all read the NDP numbers and sales charts.

And THAT is why Xbox 360 owners made the correct decision. It is th econsole with the brightest present, and the most promising future.

Sony fanboys are far more annoying than most. For one they actually base all their arguments on the belief that their console of choice is faaaar superior to every other console ever made.

They also will never admit to Sony doing anything wrong, Xbox fans admit that the RROD is bullcrap and MS F'ed up royally. But you will never hear a PS3 fan admit bluray was a mistake, or rumble should have been in the controller from day one, or even that Sony should enclude a HDMI cable with the PS3!

Sony fans whine more, accuse everyone of being paid off, and they always argue from very weak points of view, after all everyone sane knows Sony screwed up this gen, only Sony fanboys still belive that this was all part of Sonys great plan and that they will rule the world as soon as they feel the time is right. Get real mofos, and wake up.

Sorry to like burst your bubble but ALL fanboys argue from the same point that their console choice is superior, you're somewhat doing it now. In any case, BR wasn't a mistake as the same could have been said (and was) from them putting a DVD drive in the PS2. Hell look at DVDs now, back then people (myself included) were thinking the 1.5gb GDRom for the Dreamcast was more than enough space.

DVDs were becoming the standard, they eschewed it for a higher capacity. Just as the cartridges being phased out for CDs and the CDs for DVDs before it. It's evolution man, don't be surprised when the next crop of consoles which we hopefully won't see for at least 3-5 years use higher capacity disks. Long term and the bigger picture is the key.

Yes rumble should have been in from the beginning, but they were still in litigation with Immersion at the time if I'm not mistaken. They could have came up with a better reason for not having it instead of "it's last gen" since from what I hear the rumble in the DS3 is the same as the DS2.

HDMI in the box would have been welcomed but not as much as component cables at least. Those standard AV cables are horrid and I'll never use those on my TV. I'm not going so far as to saying everyone is being paid off but you can't deny there's a bias towards Sony, more specifically the PS3 at the moment. This is evident from GameSpot's infamous Ratchet and Clank review to Gizmodo's more recent Divx/Xvid testing (or lack thereof) this week.

If it were like July or something a lot of the things I hear from people would be warranted but certainly not now. Most of the slag is from people who haven't even touched the machine but for whatever reason feel the need to do it anyway so whatever gets you off I guess. People who've owned the machine for a while can tell that things have been chugging towards the good end of the spectrum.

To be honest no machine has been truly worth owning within the first year to me except 3. The SNES, Dreamcast, and the PSP. I'm actually quite surprised I picked up a PS3 in year one considering the history of game consoles having crappy ass first year libraries. We can chalk that up to growing pangs and the price of being an early adopter.

The system and the company are far from perfect and I could come up with quite a few things they could REALISTICALLY do to improve the system for the short term and long term. But more than likely they're working on the same things so I guess we'll see. Sony has done this three times before, hell two of the past outings are still on the market right now. So I don't think the system is going anywhere but up, nor do I have to validate my purchase decision by telling you guys why you made the wrong one.

See, we're not all bad. I guess that's because I'm a game fan (and a realist) more than a Sony fan, they just have the stuff I want to play :P BTW why are people still snowed from this SDF site?

MS fanboys will defend and deny any f*ckups by MS, no matter how hard they're being screwed by the company they "adore" so much.

-RROD? "It's just hype!"
-Paying for online? "Well, it's better than Sony's online!"
-Having to purchase all these exlusive MS peripherals because they're not included within the box? "Hey, atleast MS gives us a choice!"

Oh please, where's this great freedom of choice regarding 3rd party peripherals then, eh? Nowhere to be seen! You have to get the severly overpriced MS exclusive product. That's MS's idea of "choice"!

And then the sony fanboys:

-When there's not as many well received exclusives on the PS3 as on the 360: "It's all a conspiracy, MS is paying off all the reviewers!"
-When a game on the PS3 stands out above the average games and is good: "It's the best game ever made and not possible on the Xbot360!"
-"Without Blu-ray no game can be good, the 360 is holding back the multi-platform games on the PS3."
-"Play beyond"..."Sony's soldiers"..."bla bla bla".

Oh please, give me a break! Both companies don't give a sh*t about you, all they care about is your WALLET.

Yes, both companies f*ck up. And it's up to us to complain about it to keep them on their toes and have them fix their sh*t. But pointing your hypocrit fingers at the "others" just because they're infact the "oppsites" and completely disregarding any f*ckups on "your" side is just the cream of crop regarding: PATHETICNESS.

the site is a parody of fanboy sites taken to the extreme. If it was 'real' it would be sad. Its a bit of fun. Dont take it too seriously. Enjoy it!

But it reminds me of UKResistance website. the Only difference is the guy who runs that site is a genuine console hate site. He HATES the PS3. Commander Zorg is his 'handle!' The sad thing is he is not a young teen, he is a 40 year old something man. :(

If the 360 doesn't, then why are 360 attach rates higher than PS3 & Wii ? If the 360 games are so lame, why is the 360 sweeping the GOTY & other awards again this year ?

Absolutely. Sony makes great TV's. But sadly, you have to admit the PS3 has been pretty lackluster... I mean c'mon, Microsoft of all ppl are kicking their a$$ with a gaming console. That shouldn't be possible... but not only is it happening, but the M$ exclusives are trumping the crap out of Sony exclusives...
