Twisted Metal Review | Cheatcc

Eat Sleep Play did not reinvent the wheel when designing Twisted Metal, but they did light it on fire!

mayberry5207d ago

Another "plays like old twisted games" review! Whatever dude! It has come a long way, and is an absolute blast! well ill be a go to hell!

TheBlackSmoke5207d ago

Yep, how dare a car combat game play like a car combat game. I think its lazy to just say its the same thing like if I were to put in twisted metal from 10 years ago I wouldn't notice any difference in gameplay whatsoever. Can't wait for the 5/5 COD review in November.

Blastoise5207d ago

Wow, a comparison to CoD. Thats original

Marked5207d ago

@blastoise

Hes clearly refering to the most obvious form of hypocrisy to unquestionably make his point. Siiiiggghh :/

SoapShoes5207d ago

Yeah dude... I went and played my free copy of Black and it feels nothing like this new TM. It's much slower paced and the cars feel like toy cars in comparison... It's the same genre but it feels a lot different than 10 years ago.

There's always some excuse when it comes to ps3 exclusives. If it were up to people like you, they'd ALL be 5/5

Marked5207d ago

Why are you evening reading this?? I'm pretty certain that you refused to buy a PS3. Unless you did and SONY encouraged your family dog to go for the sex change.

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher314d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar315d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername314d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

darthv72315d ago

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio315d ago (Edited 315d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125315d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori315d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro315d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx315d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga597d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon596d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga596d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer597d ago (Edited 597d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole597d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic596d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage597d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12596d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
