Good. I want an FFVII remake now

Also i never played chrono trigger. I played the PS1 version on my PC using an emulator but my computer froze, it has goo graphics for a PS1 game

So if there is an FFVII remake and a Chrono Break game that that is evenough to bring all the RPG fans to the PS3

Final Fantasy Chronicals *which had the remade anime cut scenes chrono trigger* did come to ps1.. but with bad load times every battle took like 20 seconds to load or so.

Yeah, My PSP is currently loaded with Final Fantasy 7, Final Fantasy 8, Metal Gear Solid, Metal Gear Solid VR disc and Xenogears.

Remote play on the PS3 is nice and everything but with custom firmware and Homebrew it's kinda obselete.

I would prefer to finish a game rather than finish 1/3rd of a game. A better feature would be to allow users to make CD images of PS1 games that they own to play directly from the hard drive. A feature that only lets you play what is on the disk in the machine or in the limited virtual library is impractical.

So does saving to the memory card image on the ps3 hard drive work? And can you load the saved games from the ps3 hard drive?

LOL A couple weeks ago I decided I wanted to go back through this game, and now coincidentally I can level up my materia while I'm in school thanks to my new star wars psp, if saving is fully functional.

for music and video , but playing a game . the control response is awful . Is everybody having that same problem to . Is there a setting that im missing ? hot shot golf was no fun to play with remote play . But I aint complaining because i didnt buy for that feature anyways . something free is always good .

And go to settings, you can adjust the Responsiveness (from -3 to +3) as well as the video bandwidth size. That way if the network you're using can't keep up, you can customize your experience.

I set mine to 512 Kbps video and +3 responsiveness.

DJ is right, you can sacrifice image quality for response level...so you can make the game look like meh, but lag close to nothing when you press buttons...or you can make the game look good, but take awhile to input buttons

So many people talk as if FFVII is the penacle of RPG gaming. It was good, but it is my least favorite of the PS1 era.

I always liked FFVIII the best, followed by FFIX. But none of them really hold a candle to the classic SNES RPG's.

But no RPG is quite as bad as FFX was....man I truly hated that game.

FF7 started it all...did you get it when it first came out? FF7 was freakin ridiculous how much better it was than every game out at the time. The jump from 6 to 7 was a much bigger jump than 7 to 8, which is one of the many reasons why people favor 7 more. The materia links, the AP system to level up your magic and summons, combining added effect and Hades materia was crazy, quadra-cut, limit breaks, amazing looking summons...8 just kinda fed off of 7 and didn't have that huge of an impact other than making the characters look more life-like. 10 introduced the whole voice acting thing, I liked the sphere system, good graphics and gameplay...but Tidus was pretty annoying. I'd put 8 and 10 tied for 3rd place behind 7 and 6, but 7 is really where it's at...you just had to be there at release time.

actually people favor ff7 much more because for a good population it was there first RPG.

FF7 was dismal in story compared to nearly every other final fantasy before it, and other rpgs released at the time, Most americans at the time of its release had never played an RPG or even heard of Final Fantasy its popular because of its alternative characters (alternative attitudes of the time) and the fact it was most peoples first RPG.

ff7 was not a leap beyond and above what ff6 was, infact it was only just a 3d update of what ff6 was and the fact they added CGI to it.

I remember the ff6 3d demo square had made for the n64 and the graphics on that aren't much different from the ff7 ones blocky big handed characters on screen, then somewhat less in battles, and then CGI.

Look,they have remake FF3 and 4 on the DS,go play it.Come back than tell me how the story is better than FF7.
FF7 is one of the best JRPG,with one of the greatest story in the gamming industry.
How many game have a better story?Could you name them?

That's the thing about Final Fantasy, Everyone has their own favourite. For me, I think it was Final Fantasy 8 as well (which I'm currently having a blast playing from my PSP with Homebrew.

To many people Final Fantasy 7 was their first JRPG so it holds a special place in their heart. I personally love the game too along with Final Fantasy 4 (I need to get myself a DS for the remake) A lot of long time Jrpg'ers think 6 is the pinnacle. I've enjoyed pretty much everyone I've played. X being my least favourite and I never even tried X2 because of it.

Everybody's different, it's nice to be able to respect other people's opinions.

Its hard to find a reasonable priced copy of FF7 these days I hope they put it on PSN. FF8 too I like that 1 as much as I like 7.FF8 easy to find for 20 bucks though.

Both are great. Zack was the reason how Cloud became who he is, is just a really fun character and had to go through a ton of struggle so I do rate him a bit higher. Can't wait for the two to perhaps fight with or against eachother in the next part or two in the remake games.
