G4 The Feed - Tuesday, December 18, 2007:
Capcom was nice enough to send G4 the latest version of Devil May Cry 4 for the PS3 and 360. G4 instantly took it to their capture lab and now present you with the first video from their gameplay.
Just to prove they aren't on Microsoft's payroll, this is footage from the PS3 version of the game, which runs at a beautiful 60fps with quick load times.
If you ask real nicely, maybe G4 will put some more videos up for you.
With the release of the Devil May Cry series on Netflix, we take a moment to look back on this almost 20-year-old series and let you know the best of the best.

6. DMC2 6/10
5. DMC4 7.5/10 (Hated Nero, repeat bosses, Dante was the saving grace but only about half the game)
4. DmC 7.5/10 (solid overall, some great ideas, meh story, dialog sucked, and the director almost killed DMC)
3. DMC1 8.5/10 (all around solid)
2. DMC5 9/10 (carried by Dante & Nero gameplay, I didn’t like V’s, Nero’s better but still not a fan)
1. DCM3 10/10 (chef’s kiss)

WHAT!? who in their right mind would put 2 near the top (not at the bottom) unironically?
I think all of them are worth playing in their own right honestly, except 2 unless you REALLY want to experience the whole series.
I honestly don't know what the author was smoking, personally I'd rank DMC3 as no.1, maybe DMC5 as second, DMC1 as third, DMC4 as fourth, and DMC as fifth and DMC2 last. such a bizarre list, mybe the author just has strange taste.

This and putting DMC 2 number 2 is all I need to ignore this ranking. DMC2 is absolute trash and it's clear this person doesn't understand exactly why.

Me leaving it out should be telling of my thoughts on it. Better than 2 as a DMC game.

Best to good for me: 3, reboot, 1, 5
2 and 4 are trash, didnt like any of them.
5 has very good gameplay variety but i hated the foes.. it is just insects the whole time. Reboot has the best foes for me
3,1,4,5 to me, never played 2. 5 gameplay is amazing but level design was really disappointing to me, just a bunch of plain arenas, the story felt like a worse written rehash of the 3rd and the charater models looked weird ( specially the ladies ). Another problem with 5 was that there was not enough content for 3 charaters so I could never really familiarize with any of them

God DMC2 was an awful game.
And in case this isn't obvious it goes worst to best
Order changes depending on your focus. I tend to focus on gameplay/fun factor, so...
5, 3, 1, 4, 2.
I really didn't like 4 but commend Dante's weapon diversity. The retreading of old ground was pretty unacceptable to me.
But even then... Still more enjoyable than 2 for me
This right here is my order as I thought DMC 5 was amazing and obviously 3 comes after 4 was great and 1 for the nastilgic value it holds 2 was so terrible that my local GameStop gave full refunds to people who returned it.
Two Devil May Cry games have been delisted on Steam. As shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Wario64, Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition and Devil May Cry 4 are no longer available to purchase.
Bless the adorably all digital future! When it comes to PC games its not as big of an issue because there should always be another way to access single player games, but still, I hate to see anything get delisted.
Well, DMC4 special edition has a lot of issues to run from Steam.
I have to get a modded executable to even be able to run the game on Windows 10.
Not sure if it is because the game runs in DirectX10 or what, but it sucks they have not even tried to fix it.
DMC4 Special Edition is not delisted, it was just the standard version, it has nothing to do with issues of performance or anything alike. Its just that Capcom probably do not want to sell the standard version, neither the standalone DMC3 version.
I don't know. The gameplay doesn't seem really next-gen. While I love Dante and DMC stuff, I have to go with Ninja Gaiden 2 for this round.

this guy who was playing sucks arse... i mean the video's we saw from 1up showed just how awesome this game was... i mean when i played DMC3 and 1 demons stayed suspended...
this guy didn't even rev nero's red queen or used the Devil bringer to look stylish at all, i'm getting this game and i can gaurantee you i'll be doing and looking alot more cooler than this guy
i havent played a DMC game so this fighting style is new to me. and the newest trailer they released really got me excited to play this. hope it will be great :D
This game will own. The player sucked a lot. Ninja gaiden is good in that you can mash the crap out of the controller and you'll pull off cool looking moves. In DMC it's much easier to tell if the game is played by an experienced player or by a total newb. This and Sigma are the reasons I bought a PS3, Uncharted, Ratchet and God of War 3 will be icing on the cake.
