I can play all games around with pretty high graphic settings atm but I couldnt play ArmA 2 on my same rig when it came out.. they gotta learn how to optimize the game.

Arma2 requires power to run on max settings. The game has so much going on that high end GPU's are needed for Max settings.

The draw distances and amount of detail in them require GPU muscle and Ram.

Not worried about delay cause Arma III will be huge and there is a ton of other PC titles coming in 2012.

I just hope that Arma III, Diablo 3, and Guild Wars 2 all don't arrive in Q4 2012 cause that would SUCK as these games take your life away and you'll only have time for one!!!!

What max settings? there was always some sloppiness on every level of detail I'd tried.

f.i: can play crysis 2 at high sett., can't play arma2 at low sett.

Optimize = make it look awful so it can run on shitty old computers?

iamgoatman5213d ago

Uh no.

Optimisation = Having the game scale well on a variety of different hardware levels.

I'm gonna end this debate with you right now!

List the specs of your PC! I don't care what you can or can't run just "show me your PC specs"

that way i can see if it's your hardware or you! Also like i said earlier Arma 2 has HUGE draw distances, relistic physics, and great detail in an open world environment so comparing it to Crysis 2 is silly.

Post your specs so i can see if your hardware can handle Arma II. then make sure your REGISTRY is clean and that you have patched Arma II properly and have good drivers all around.

this was a good gaming laptop when I bought it, still pretty good at handling nowadays' games.

The only game that could make me consider a new graphics card this year.

"ArmA 3 will be completely Extensible & Moddable"

What I like the most in a game.

I'm quite satisfied with my rig when it comes to Arm 2 but of course, that might change once Arma 3 comes out. Holding off any upgrades since I'm waiting for nvidia's turn to release its next gen card. Not that I'm die hard fan of the green team or something but anything new to challenge the current AMD cards usually means one thing : price cuts for both teams' cards.
