Just from the title, I can say that it is indeed, becoming a bit- CoD-like in that it has similar entries annually.

Currently that's not a bad thing - I love Assassin's Creed as much as the next guy - but I don't want it to fall into the "CoD-trap" where it's virtually the same thing every year and it loses originality.

AC Revelations is easily the weakest entry in the series. The gameplay is damn good, but it needs more variety. I think it was being in a setting that didn't live up to its potential, as well as playing Ezio for the third game in a row. The ending was AMAZING, though, and gives me hope that Assassin's Creed III will be the best in the series yet.

I'm kind of happy Revelations got a sort of "meh" response from reviewers (though I was relatively satisfied with the game). It will hopefully show the developers that they seriously need to, as the article states, step up their game.

the mixed reviews mean nothing because the game still sold units

Kaos_Vll5228d ago

It only sold units on the back of brotherhood and how good that one is/was.

I skipped on brotherhood and revelations because they were SO similar to AC2. I will play them later on, but I dont think they were worth the $60 when they are so alike.

I think it's too late. They already announced tht AC will be a yearly release. Just tweak the maps a bit and they are ready to go. I gave up on this franchise after AC 2. The games get stale...FAST!

I can't sit here and act like I know these workers financial situations. And I'm sure nobody wakes up WANTING to go to court. But for the sake of the industry, I wish some of these types of cases made it to trial.

Settlements allow companies to continue to do whatever abusive practices they do. While the trials (should the company lose) would actually force real changes for the better.

But again, I'm not in these workers shoes and I can understand them not wanting to risk it.
