Metal Gear Solid 3 HD PS3 guide: Healing tips

Naked Snake doesn’t half have it tough in Metal Gear Solid 3 HD. Dealing with near unkillable men made of hornets, an ultra back-stabby, flirtatious spy and a huge nuclear tank is bad enough. But the jungle's also teeming with hazards that are just waiting to poison, burn or break him into bits.

That’s why we’ve written this article to guide you through the game’s healing menu. Here, you’ll find out how to cure Snake’s broken bones, kill bloodsucking leaches or cure his dodgy stomach if you’ve eaten a bad reticulated python.

You can actually heal all wounds by applying just one healing item, no matter which one you choose. IE. for a gunshot wound, just take the bullet out with your knife, wait for a few seconds, and it will heal on its own.

Yeah but it takes so much longer. Try surviving like that in very hard mode.

Still my favorite game ever.

It takes only a few seconds longer, and I only play on the hardest possible difficulty on every Metal Gear game, its a thinking man's game, just use your brain and you can get through anything with ease.

Currently playing Snake Eater HD on CRT 16:9, via Scart RGB. Game looks great but not as clean as MGS2, but thats due to the setting. Can't wait for the remake + the next HD collection on PS5.

Konami's too busy with their Pachinko machines to worry over silly little things like this.
