Valve is working on a new project for TF2 for this year. Wonder what it could be.
Half-Life and Portal writer Erik Wolpaw has detailed how his team has been using Generative AI for research and development at Valve.
Valve has responded to New York Attorney General Letitia James' lawsuit against the firm, stating it does not believe that lootboxes in its Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, and Team Fortress 2 games unlawfully encourage minors to gamble, adding it was "disappointed" to see the action go ahead despite efforts to "educate" the NYAG about virtual items since "early 2023."
They already said it wasn't a hat so I'm definitely interested. Especially since the game can't go F2P again.

I believe it will be TF2 released on PSN as F2P with up to date content and micro transactions. Why? I believe Valve want to flex their muscles more on consoles and they have already done the steam implementation with Portal 2 on PS3 and this is the next step for them.
Special edition with selected community maps and updates for ps3 with cross platform play?
well I can hope...
I say i hate valve for reasons like this, But at the same time I love them for that very reason.
