how the hell can you use the new FF as an example, especially when it's actually downgraded graphically from FFXIII. that is one very bad example. only when devs are not crippled by DVD, have full understanding of cell and full access to Blu-ray, can this conversation take place in terms of multiplats. in the mean time, they should check out 1st party games and feel ashamed. the only people who are not convinced by these articles are people who actually own a PS3, the others can constantly appear with the usual nonsense, but PS3 owners accept that as a symptom of jealousy. i can think of no other reason

This article is so true, watch it it not get enough approvals because it is telling the simple truth that ps3 has no real edge over 360 other then blue ray, and not power or graphics.

I haven't seen evidence that any game couldn't be done on both consoles. PS3 does have the storage advantage in BR but it doesn't necessarily make game look any better. It all comes down to the devs and the engines they use.

We can have this argument all the time but the facts the only way to end this if only god of war 3 killzone 2 (oh Killzone is not the best looking game on console that game was over rated anyway)
Uncharted 2 or 3 for xbox 360 and make the gear of wars series for ps 3 then compare cause when u have this cross platform games their will always be problems. so until thats happens this is a waste of time and does anyone notice that Blue-ray is also over rated cause look at crysis one it was on a DVD rom not blue ray and its consider one of the best graphical games remember not blue ray the only thing good about blue ray the storage space other than dvd for xbox 360 and ps3 their is not so much different when it comes to games hd video

Last of Us and Last Guardian is looking pretty good to me. People who work with the PS3 closely always bring out extremely impressive graphics. Third parties that don't usually half @$$ it. I thought we already talked about this before? PS3 exclusives usually are right up there with even the best third party games on the 360.

Also I really don't understand what is the big deal half the time.I play Batman Arkum Asylum on my PS3 and it plays and looks just fine. I hate the graphical fine tooth comb with the '360 version looks slightly better' crap. 'Oh look my sky is slightly bluer' or 'my dirt is slightly browner'.

I can't wait for next gen when the systems will most likely be on more equal footing. Let's see how long Microsoft and their crew can keep up the 'graphics look slightly better on my system' with the Wii U AND PS4 in the house with exclusives and all of the third parties on their side too

Yes, you're right. It's not all about Blu Ray, as evidenced by a game like Crysis on PC. What Blu Ray allows for is more content storage, which is simply the POTENTIAL for a game to look better. However, Crysis looks as good as it does due to the power of the PC running it; this is somewhat moot when discussing consoles.

When it comes to PS3 versus 360, multiplatform titles are poor evidence of superiority: almost without fail, the lead platform will have the better looking- and often better performing- version. Here, also, can you see the difference in media format: Blu Ray allows for uncompressed graphics and audio to shine.

Uncharted, Killzone, Heavy Rain, God of War; these games showcase the graphical prowess of the PS3, and I daresay they are the best-looking games on console. (I deliberately leave out GT5, despite my personal belief that it surpasses Forza, because there ARE areas where Forza is superior.) It's argued that these games are possible on 360, and while I agree that the games themselves are POSSIBLE, there is no proof to support the notion that these games would look as good.

Well I'm not sure but Naughty Dog said they have reached the graphics plateau on the console.
