Scott Maclean, Duke Nukem Forever level designer at 3D Realms, updated his website with news about how things are going at his job:
"Six months since I updated. Not much has changed - everything is still going well. Things at work continue to make me jazzed to get up in the morning. Our team is just top-notch. I've been enjoying working on the levels I've been assigned, and everybody is responding well to the work I'm doing. In addition, the other designers continue to pump out work that just blows my mind. I'm really looking forward to the day when we can start showing off what we've been doing.
All in all, 2007 has shaped up to be a much more enjoyable year than 2006 was. :)"

Duke Nukem Forever originally began its life as a sidescroller instead of a shooter back in 1996, and that canceled version has just been leaked.
Very cool, but i don't know how real this is... I'll check it out later to find out.

Duke Nukem Forever, the troubled FPS from Gearbox and 3D Realms, has been restored to more traditional 90s shooter thanks to a sweeping “remaster” mod
kinda of a misleading title.
Mod features:
Sprinting removed and faster player movement
Jump height increased
Swim speed is much faster
Player can now hold breath underwater for 45 seconds instead of 15
Weapon rebalance and screen shake when shooting removed
2/4 weapon limit completelly removed
Quicksaves (F5 by default)
Depth of Field removed and new post processing effects
Driving sections are now in first person perspective
yw.

Duke Nukem Forever, the infamous and controversial FPS from 3D Realms, apparently looked much better before launch, as modders discover various cut features
Wow, that advanced lighting makes a huge difference to the visuals. I get that Gearbox tried to slap everything together and release a finished product. But it seems like they cut out a lot of content that would have made the experience more enjoyable. That's a shame.
I would love another Duke Nukem he is the king. :)
PC Duke Nukem? NOOOO!!!! gosh why not for PSN and LIVE? WHY((((shake fist to monitor)))
I have given up long ago on this game BUT i welcome it.
When this game was first announced some of the people that are leaving comments here were not even born yet.....................
as much as i would like to see a new duke, this one is still in question because its been delayed for like a decade, and the duke nukem concepts. how will they compare with titles we have now, sure at the time they were interesting and sometimes funny [pig cops, strippers] but there are alot of people that are aiming for realism these days
