As we said, Serious Sam 2 is a ‘love or hate’ game and although it lacks some features that Croteam wanted to add to it, it still is a fun game."

Serious Sam II debuted back in 2005, and is still a hallmark of the 'boomer shooter' genre, as it's known today.
Yeah, I'll have my "boomer shooter" any day over "fee to pay" garbage churned out by game companies nowadays.

Serious Sam, Croteam's massively over-the-top first-person shooter series, is 20 years old this week, and the developer has surprised fans by launching a substantial free update for Serious Sam 2 on PC as part of its birthday celebrations.

Darren writes: "For me, if you want to unwind after a particularly stressful day, or just fancy shooting a load of stuff, Serious Sam is the perfect way to scratch that itch. Serious Sam II was a solid entry in the series, however it suffered from a lack of newness compared to the first two outings."
