Alma from Ninja Gaiden Black

L1keMike5242d ago

God that boss almost made me smash my original xbox up.

Captain Qwark 95243d ago (Edited 5243d ago )

nine ball - armored core master of arena
smough and ornstein - dark souls
alma - ninja gaiden

those 3 are prob the toughest i have ever faced. smough and orn and alma i did beat afetr about 6 tries each, nine ball on the other hand, i never beat without cheats

i'm playing through Dark Souls for a third time now, this time i'm a sorcerer. i just solo'd Orstein and Smough yesterday with the ring that halves your HP for extra castings. so basically, i couldn't get hit. lol.

fun times.

thats impressive lol, i only beat ds once becuase other games came out after i beat it once. i played as a mixed character myself. those dudes were a pain in the *ss though. i ended up solo'ing them as well but not by choice, went something like this, i had 3 humanities going into it.....

1st try - just me, always like to test the bosses with a single try knowing ill lose, i did

2nd try- just me again, thought i had a shot. destroyed, learned the pattern though

3rd try- my buddy told me i could have the cpu help, i did and summoned another player. we got destroyed.

4th try - used another humanity, summoned help, got destroyed.

5th try - used final humanity, tried to summon 3rd player, nobody would help, wasted humanity, wanted to cry when i lost.

6th try, im screwed, no humanity, fought solo, lost, somehow though i actually did pretty well, feeling confident i gave it one last go....

7th try - finally won!!!! beat them solo, destroyed them actually. i felt like a freaking god. stopped playing and ordered pizza to celebrate lol

following that battle, idk what happened, maybe it just toughened me up, idk but i destroyed the game after that, its like the game went into easy mode and i literally just walked through it. im about 90% sure i only died like 10 more times after that, 5 of which were at the final boss. i beat the 4 kings, nito, and seath without dying. the tree thing beat me like 3 times too though

any boss from Ghouls N Ghosts... that entire game was hard..

Haven't played any of the games you guys mentioned above... but I've heard stories about Dark Souls and Demon Souls difficulty.

acemonkey5242d ago

lol still cant beat that game over 20yrs

AKS5242d ago

The Ghosts 'n Goblins/ Ghouls 'n Ghosts series is more difficult, but they also far less of a feeling of fairness. Sometimes I just felt like there was almost nothing I could have done to avoid getting killed in those games.

Demon's/ Dark Souls are tough, and they get tougher with each NG+, but I nearly always feel dying was due to my own mistake rather than the game putting me in an impossible situation. I found FROM's games to be very rewarding and fair, especially Demon's Souls.

I found The Boss much harder than The End in MGS3...

L1keMike5242d ago

I was tempted to add the boss, but I found that her fight could be overcome with learning her pattern.

Every time I faced The End, it felt like it was the first time again.

Every enemy from the Star Wars games from SNES in Jedi difficult... do you remember what it feels like when an Ewok kill you with one hit?

Blues Journey is the game I'd like to see.

Popsicle42d ago

Pre-ordered mine a few days ago. Love this concept and hope there are more games announced. I can’t justify paying the prices for games that collectors are asking for. It’s the primary reason I own almost every console except the Neo Geo.

I've pre ordered one here in the UK, no games though, as I'll move it on for a higher price. The white model looks awesome, but as expected, the price is too high. We'll probably see more of those all in one cartridges from China containing every AES game. In the UK, AES+ game at £70 ($95) is better than eye watering prices for the originals, but these games are so old and I can honestly say SNK didn't release many classics. The Metal Slug series is the only series I rate, there were just too many Street Fighter clones and not enough scrolling fighting games. Overall, the Neo Geo was poor for all genres apart from one on one fighters. Videos on YouTube asking for games from that console generation to be ported to the AES+, but who'd want to pay £70 for Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter 2? There's a lot of SNK collections out there, the best being Metal Slug Anthology on the PlayStation 2. The Street Fighter Anniversary Collection on the Switch contains 12 games for around £30, instead of £840 if released on the AES+. For collectors, the AES+ is the best news since sliced bread. Are there enough SNK fans out there? Nowhere near. Those £70 cartridges will soon start creeping up in price and it'll be a re-run of the original console.

I always wanted one in the 90's but couldn't afford it. Now i can but i think if i get one it will be collecting dust fast. It's a nostalgia thing i guess.

Hideo Kojima put Low Roar in Death Stranding because gamers need more culture in their lives

It's important in life to maintain a broad palette when it comes to culture and the arts. Hideo Kojima agrees, as he continues to use video games like Death Stranding to introduce people to music and other elements they might not otherwise discover.
