This game is awesome on the PS3...very fast rumble, graphics are smooth...and it is just a demo of an old build it will get even better before release in over a month from now...both versions...so xbots take a chill pill and wait till release...but we all know the PS3 version will be the best one..

MY honest opinion!!! I have both demos, the games graphically look 100% identical, the only thing that i noticed an you really had to pay attention is that the 360 version colors were more VIBRANT an it looks like it has AA turned on an the PS3 version dont. edges are just a little sharper on the 360 version. but theres not enough difference to call either one BETTER!! now you guys can take it for what it is call me an xbot or what ever, I HAVE both so i can see for MYSELF an this is what I SEE.an my PS3 is hooked up through HDMI running in 1080p, not sure what this game runs in, I'll check it later.

i own both consoles and i downloaded the demo for both. i used the sam monitor for both. both are exactly the same. minor diferences. AA is at the same level... framerate also.

My fellow Australian, I thank you for your insightful comments, however, I feel your one-sidedness may lead you away from the top games still to come, I agree that at this time, XBOX360 is the system tohave, I have one, I love it, but, PS3 is now picking up steam, it is going to become an unstoppable juggernaught, buy both, if you can afford it, this is going to be fun :)

To be honest it looks like the PS3 version has been recorded at higher quality than the 360 version. They both look more or less the same at this resolution so the only way to have a proper look it to record a 720p version.

Ive played the demo on both consoles and I can guaranty one thing: the graphics sucks on both consoles.

Granted, it's not the leap forward most of us where hoping for, but it's fun, it runs almost perfectly and it seems like it will be heaps of fun...that's what we want from games, right?

But to be honest who knows if the two sides have been switched? Just decide for yourself which version to get and don't listen to clowns like power of Green, FirstknighT etc who feel they have to defend the 360 like rabid fanboys.

Its a shame because this game could have been so much better if it was not held back due to the XBOX 360 using DVDs. The PS3 with its Bluray disks could easily hold way more content.

Dreadful video thats completly useless for comparing graphical qulity. If the game looked like the video, you wouldn't buy it no matter what platform.
I run both my 360 and PS3 versions through the latest 1080P Sony X series TV. The differences are not huge, but the PS3 does have a slight edge. The differnece is minimal enough that if you have anything other than the latest TV tech, you won't really notice it.

Both versions look great. download the demo and see for yourself, don't judge from this video.

I got the demo for both ps3 and 360, and i was trying to compare them by switching the TV from HDMI to component, as i don`t have two HDTVs. It`s hard to make a comparison like that but from what i could see, the 360 version looks more bright and colorfull but that makes it look cartoony, whille the ps3 version has more real looking lighting and effects. I hate this game, so i`m not going to buy it for neither consoles. I`ll wait for GT5P instead.

Anyways... does the PS3 version game invites? Does it have achivements? if not the XBox 360 version wins hands down... achivements to be is more important than brightness (my tv allows me to change that)... also the xbox 360 comes with rumble by default and I don't have to import and pay $60-$100 a new controller to experience it.

The only thing i can see is that ps3 has better shadows on x360 they seem jittery, better on ps3 but barely worth mentioning. This is the first game which is truly the same no matter which platform you play it on Kudos to Criterion.

One obviously appears much brighter and cleaner but TBH both look aces and looking at them like that I can honestly say that I wouldn't see much reason to pi## and moan about either version.

Well done Criterion for being one of the first developers to make a multi platform game this gen that doesn't have a horribly crippled PS3 version.

All i was trying to say is that with any multi platform release this is always going to be an issue with games getting bigger and times moving on, dvd should not of even been considered on a NEXT GEN Console.
The fact that your saying what the game does or dosent have on the PS3 version is a joke considering the XBOX 360 has to have a million add ons just to compete with the PS3.

Im not sure what res this is going to run at but i would say if you havent got 1080p then run this game in 720p NOT 1080i.
Because this is a fast game 720p has faster refresh rates than 1080i. You will prob get a slightly better picture but nothing major.

they both look pretty much identical. the only things i have really noticed were 1, the 360 sounds are louder at the same volume settings and 2, the ps3 version seems to have more varied crash scenes. like the trading paint crash scenes. i have seen like 2 different ones on 360 and 4 diffrent ones on ps3. i tried to hit on coming the same way on both. also for the record, ps3 rumbles too ^_^

actually i havent seen and refresh problems at 1080i on my plasma. and it looks better at that rez on my screen than 720p. i hope in the full version of the ps3 one they add the ability to have 1080i output. the demo doesnt :(

It's sooo much better looking on the ps3 than the 360. but then there is a lamp post on the street corner that looks more shiny on the 360 than on the ps3. For jeebus sakes. Get over it already. Shouldn't we all be more concerned with the controls and play of the game. Which, by the way, are pretty sweet. The car you get is awesome and the controls are pretty damn tight. Definitely can't wait to get this game.

you dont see it clearly in the videos, because they are low quaulity, but if you compare them side by side on a nice tv, you will see that the ps3 version looks clearly better.

I played the 360 version first (PSN takes forever to download) then the PS3 afterwards and they felt the same to me. I couldn't see a difference between the two that standed out to me. They both have the same color reproduction from what I can tell. Both systems are hooked up to a Sony 46XBR4 via HDMI.

I don't know what the fanboys are talking about, but the PS3 version has slightly washed out colors. I even took a screenshot of the video. See for yourselves.

Note: I downloaded the 720p version and played the video using Windows Media Center.

EDIT: I think the sky looks way better on the PS3 version, but that's it.

It maybe seems to be "clearer" on the PS3 cause of its notorious "Blue Filter" method (Xbox 360 = Red Filter).

forget the graphics, i want to know how criterion got whole overworld load less. and is the disc constantly spinning on the xbox version if there is no HDD? since it is basically load less, or they load more of the world in the memory, and the loading occurs when races activate to change the over world landscape.

I was playing very smoothly on the 360 version but ALOT of LAG on the PS3. Cars were skipping across on the PS3 version and running smoothly on the 360 version. So much for "FREE"...LOL!!

360 "clearly" takes it again.

I notice an extra leaf in one of the trees on the Xbox 360 version. And in the crash you can see a little rock on the floor on the PS3 version.

I would say the extra leaf is taking more memory so hands down the 360 version is superior.

Game looked great on my PS3 last night playing the demo, and in this comparison it's easier to see that it's the cleaner, sharper version that does present some better lighting than the 360's version of the game.

Nice to see EA finally get a game right on PS3 by having it act as the lead console. Maybe I can start having faith in them again?.....maybe....

Why is anyone bringing up psn lag i play COD4 every night every sigle night and i havent had any probs with the network im ranked 2000 and somthin with my kills out of the 400 odd thousand on the network so lag is not a factor just cos its free doesnt make it bad there was an old saying the best things in life are free plus i dont have to put up with the prepubesent teens loadmouthing on xbl

I have played the demo on my 360 and it's really fun but the quality in the video is horrible the game looks great in 720p and just get the game for whatever system you have, have a safe and happy holidays and goodnight!

Wow the ps3 and 360 versions are so similar but I have to say the ps3 does look a tiny bit better, but most important thing is the gameplay so I hope they work on it more.

I will say after downloading both Version 360/ps3
And playing them both...This is the first multiplat game i would buy for ps3 rather than 360...360 has a better feel steering wise but the game looks a little more polished on the ps3 version...

It's still only a demo so thing could change but as of now i like the 360 version..

This gen hasn't been the best for games, last gen consoles are still out there and now there's been talk of the PS6 and Xbox Two for a year or so. Many games this gen will be ported to next gen and the cycle will continue. The re-release of the Neo Geo AES+, games on cartridge for £70 ($95), gaming is going back in time. Gaming has gone pricing mad with the high cost of games, consoles and controllers. The men and women at the top are clueless.

It’s always interesting to hear behind-the-scenes stories like this, especially involving veterans like Shuhei Yoshida and leadership figures like Jim Ryan. That said, there are usually multiple sides to decisions at that level. It could be less about not “listening” and more about differences in long-term vision for PlayStation. Yoshida played a huge role in shaping the brand, so whatever the reason, his impact is undeniable.

If true, and I'm inclined to believe it is, it goes to show that Sony lost their way when they became more western/didn't respect the PlayStation origin story. Andrew House and Jack Tretton did great work, but they also didn't try to fundamentally change the PlayStation DNA. Ryan oversaw the death of Japan Studio and a live service direction.

I miss the first three generations of PlayStation. The way they turned PS3 around, we knew they meant business. We were all worried for a bit there around launch. Eventually from 2008 they started shifting slowly. But since Yoshida was fired, it's never been the same. Still enjoy my PS5 daily. I got a backlog dating back to PS2 lol So I'm fine but new games aren't as appealing anymore.

It seems like we were thrown on to the worst timeline possible where everything is too expensive and the wrong people were put in positions that makes the world a shitty place. We could have had Shu as the head of PS but we got the shitty alternative. Same goes for everyone in power around the world. Doesn’t matter the company or country the majority of us got the shitty picks and the world is declining like never before. I do think PS can come out of this because of their studios, talent and IP but they need someone more in touch with gamers leading things like Shu was. They’re still the best place for console gaming imo but it could be much better than it is especially without the massive live service failures. The rest of the world I have a lot less hope for right now. Hopefully the pendulum swings back towards the good ole days but I’m preparing for the worst.

There's another guy who recently "retired" as CEO of another large gaming company, after doing a dismantling job as lead for well over a decade.

seems legit, the business man, fires the one who has ideas to move the business forward.

Jim Ryan is the reason why we are entering year 6 since the PS5 launch and many of us don't feel like the PS5 has gotten started as yet.

I hope going forward, we will see a return to form.
