This originally seemed like it would suck, but not anymore. Now what are the chances of a PS Vita version?

ElliePage5248d ago

No, originally it looked good but now it will suck. With all of the butchering and unwanted changes that went into this game it comes off as a politically correct version of Twisted Metal where they didn't want to offend anyone apparently. That's why they made Mr. Grimm black and why they changed Kamikaze's name to Spectre.

Also, they added a bunch of crappy rap music including some soundtrack by that loser HipHopGamer which apparently will be the music for the credits. The only good news being that there is custom soundtracks (and who knows if that will be able to drown out that crappy theme that's in the credits).

Add an online pass to this game (which they're doing and while online passes aren't the main thing that kills communities, with a game's fanbase this small it will definitely effect it more) this is looking like it will flop hard. I'd rather play the old Twisted Metal games back on PS1 when the series was actually good.

Obviously you are a troll because I don't think anyone could have such crazy misinformation. I could see someone being really ignorant but having false information in spades that were just pulled out of your head screams troll.

1)Mr. Grimm has always been changed. Went from being the Grim Reaper to a crazy nam war vet to a crazy black guy. Who cares if he's black? You racist????
2)People wanted Spectre back. I personally liked the name Kamikaze but don't really care.
3)He added like 1 or 2 rap songs, most of the music is traditional Twisted Metal music(IE heavy metal).

TheLastGuardian5248d ago

Nope, you're wrong. Twisted Metal is going to be the greatest game ever made. Buy it or don't, just stop bitching in all the Twisted Metal articles. It's getting really annoying.

antz11045247d ago

Lol so let me guess you're that 1 disagree on all the comments here? Seriously if you have nothing constructive to add without spouting nonsense.....

On track I cant wait for this game. Its going to be pretty epic.

Looks like we better call the wah-bulance

alechnewith5247d ago

if you watch Jaffes vlogs...... specter is NOT in the game. they started with kamikaze, went to specter (which is still listed on the website) but for final game it will be KAMIKAZE. also its been noted by Jaffe that it is only two rap songs in the game. one for the credits, and NWA STRAIGHT OUTTA COMPTON. cant complain too bad its still hard as hell.

Wow cyberpunk is a great pick up. If you haven’t played it you should definitely give it a try

Christopher333d ago

Banishers was dragged down by the need to go back to old areas multiple times.

GhostScholar334d ago

Also if you bought it at launch and couldn’t deal with all the bugs it’s a totally different game now

stupidusername333d ago

Played it on release and thought it was a mess. But I'm currently playing it again now on both PS5 and Switch 2 with cross save progression, and it's really different to how I remember it. Really enjoying it now, and it's really polished and immersive.

Despite owning the 2077 One X console and the steelbook edition of the game... i still have never played it. I may actually give 2077 a try (via the portal) as there has been so much talk about it again, thanks to SW2 and now this comparison vid from DF. https://youtu.be/SvGQik3m6a...

dveio334d ago (Edited 334d ago )

I think it's an okay decision or happening.

iirc, wasn't there even a new and probably last update coming soon announced recently?

I've never played 2077, neither. (I am still a bit mad about their ... well, anyway.)

But I think it can't get better to play that game, or any game for that matter, in a 100% complete, fully updated build.

DivineHand125334d ago

Cyberpunk and Risk of rain 2 are the best of the bunch. Not a bad month if you are one of the few that haven't played those games.

yeastori334d ago

Cyberpunk is probably one of the best games I've ever played, even when it came out with all the bugs and glitches and broken gameplay on consoles, I still loved it at its core because the world was exactly what I wanted in a dystopian vision of the real future and the story was actually well done and compelling. With the fixes and then Phantom Liberty I just knew that this game could've been GOTY winner if it hadn't been released too early and released on PS5. XBX and two years later.

shinXseijuro334d ago

Might give cyberpunk a chance now that the game redeemed itself . Is it only the basic game or with the newer content ?

xHeavYx334d ago

According to the article, it's just the base game, but the DLC will be 30% off

TM3 is my favorite but I'll take what they bring out gladly. Fun times back in the day and great soundtracks

Cacabunga616d ago

Last one on ps4 wasn’t good at all.
Hoping for some good reboot or remake of the first 3

Dagexon616d ago

You mean the one on ps3?

Cacabunga615d ago

Yes i do, thanks! I realized too late couldn’t edit

Lego 2K Drive features an exciting mode called Brick Brawl, inspired by Twisted Metal. Players can create, share, and upload various cars, including ones like Sweet Tooth. The game boasts thousands of custom cars, ranging from the Batmobile to the Sweet Tooth ice cream truck.

InUrFoxHole616d ago

Never understood the like for the series. Not my bag but I know a lot of gamers are clamoring for a new game and liked the TV. Series

TiredGamer616d ago (Edited 616d ago )

TM1 and 2 are time period classics. They were a bit rough, ugly, and grungy, but they felt right during the time period they were released and they scratched that early console “death match” itch before FPS games would completely swallow that market.

Many great memories with friends playing couch co-op and 1v1. Short, and quick-and-dirty gameplay that we returned to over and over. I’d buy a remake or proper remastering of the first two games day one.

InUrFoxHole616d ago

Lol, nice! I remember having the tiger handheld or watch..

FinalFantasyFanatic615d ago

I played those so much as I kid, I bought the Twisted Metal games that were on PSN as Playstation Classics, wow, they feel clunky by today's standards, they could really use the remake/remaster treatment.

UltimateOwnage616d ago

Twisted Metal: Black is when the series really hit for me. I still love that game so much. It was kind of downhill for the series after that IMO. I'd love to see the series go back to its roots, but I don't hold out a lot of hope for David Jaffe coming back from where he is these days to oversee development of a competent sequel.

Snookies12615d ago

Black was the pinnacle in my opinion. I adored TM1 and TM2, for sure. But Black brought it to a whole new level of awesome.
