Why it's make-or-break time for EA

BeefJack: "In the past few years, EA have been cornered into shelling out billions of dollars in development and marketing costs, simply to stay in competition with the other big players in the market. But in committing those funds have they placed themselves in jeopardy?"

I hope Origins fails. I hate all these programs which are DRM disguised as 'features'.

Game companies don't even release patches for stand online download these days, even for a single player game...you need a got damn account so you can download auto-patches. I had toi do this with BFBC2 which was touted as only having a disk check, so then I have to go online to get a patch so I can change the FOV...wtf

There was a time I was against EA and found their games lackluster. They've now got some excellent studios behind them, and have helped produce some of my favourite games of the the last couple of years... So I hope it's a make and not a break.

Haha quite the opposite for me, I think EA in the ps2 era was making so many smash hits! Medal of honour, GOOD need for speed games.

now I don't really see anything worth my time except the Mass Effect series. And I wont buy that till they remove the mandatory Origin part.

Lol? What about Fifa, Battlefield, Sims, Mass Effect? And many more..

Battlefield 3 Cut Missions From Campaign Detailed by Former DICE Dev

Battlefield 3's former Lead Designer has revealed that there were two cut missions from the main campaign

XiNatsuDragnel547d ago

I wish someone can get those EA game leaks to see all the cut content ngl

Get rid of campaigns, move the game to mobile, and try to compete with warzone. They would save time and money.

I loved this game and have played since launch but don't let this article fool you, this game is a step above life support. While they are still technically updating the game, the updates are few and far between and there is a significant lack of quality control, so many little bugs that have been present for years.

TheColbertinator1198d ago

The updates felt flimsy to me also. Stopped playing in 2021.

This game got a huge update last year didn't it with more content?

PapaBop1198d ago

They promoted it as an expansion yet offered like 3-4 hours of content. The game is amazing and easily one of the best Star Wars games ever made but content drops are so few and far between.
