NowGamer: Unreal Engine creator and game developer Epic is looking to the future of gaming hardware.

The project will purportedly launch in November 2026 and is the result of Disney's $1.5 billion collaboration with Epic.

The Walt Disney Company's new CEO, Josh D'Amaro, is a big fan of video games, and one former Disney executive believes D'Amaro would be smart to do even more in gaming going forward. This could include a buyout of a gaming company like Epic Games.
In an interview with CNBC, Kevin Mayer--a former Disney and TikTok executive who now runs Candle Media--said D'Amaro will need to take "bold steps" to help Disney make more money and grow its stock price. One part of this could be doing more in gaming, he said.
Apparently nobody remembers the absolute shitshow that happened when EA brought the Havok engine which was used as the default engine of the 6th generation like UE is used today.
Well I can imagine DIsney with their transgender Snowwhite and black cinderally and mermaid and other garbage. Imagine video games lmao!!!
I really hope this doesn’t happen. They ruin everything that they buy. Terrible company
Trolling. Hope Disney take the Maval characters like Spider-Man and Wolverine away from Sony and make it themselves that would me laugh so hard.

The myth of perpetual growth continues to bulldoze through the industry.
"It is going to get so much worse in the video game industry...This will get worse and going to be bad and it's going to eventually get better." -Greg Miller right before it got worse
Too many games, too many versions, download only games, game pricing, £700+ consoles, eye watering prices for controllers, four formats, gaming is one big mess.
id argue that epic games has alot of other revenue income other than fortnite, so their reasoning makes zero sense.
I'm ready for new systems. TBH I think they are way overdue. I've had fun this gen but I think its time to move on.
please, they've had actual nextbox specs at epic for over a year, the new 360 will be out in less than 10 months!
EA, Crytek, 2k, rockstar, bioware, bethesda and many more all have had actual specs for the next gen xbox for a while, its not like they need the unit itself, just roundabout numbers on throughput, all games are made on a pc anyway.
I used to think I didn't want a new system to 2013-2014 But after Uncharted 3 and Gears 3 (both look amazing to me) I think we hit the wall with the systems. With that being said I'm sure many more games could come out on each system that look equally as good but I think Halo 4 is MS last major game on the 360. Not sure about the PS3 but with the insertion of vita it has a little more leg room with the sony fans.
