Not another Batman, as great as they we're! I would like to see something very unique, perhaps a new IP thats they've envisioned from scratch.

NukaCola5209d ago

There was that rumor recently posted about them doing a Ninja Turtes game. I could really dig that. Nice open world city. Dark Turtes but in keeping with the original comics. NOT THE NEW TMNT. Also would work well with the characters to switch back and forth or a co-op mode(wondering how it could work). Who knows?

ZombieAssassin5209d ago (Edited 5209d ago )

Ha I remember a while back I said I hope they work on a TMNT game, would be awesome but Nickelodeon own the rights now so I don't know if it'd happen...but if it did like you said I hope they keep true to the comics all dark and gritty like.

Kewl_Kat5209d ago

A better Watchmen game would be nice :)

Captain Qwark 95209d ago

i agree, bats is one of my fav series, great games. however knowing the talent they have now, id love to see an original ip from them or see what they can do with another licensed title like the rumored tmnt game. after a new title then they should return to batman, a bats game every 3-4 years would keep the series fresh and allow them to do other things

Venoxn4g5209d ago

I would like a dark spiderman game.. with venom, carnage and other great villains

Voxelman5209d ago

Well it will never happen Activision own the Spiderman licence and after that Disney will pick it up as they want to bring all their Marvel stuff back in house.

Rocksteady are owned by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Warner Bros own DC Comics.

AlbatrossRevue5209d ago (Edited 5209d ago )

If we're talking DC Comics that should include Dark Horse stuff so a good Hellblazer of a nice dark Green Lantern would suit me.

Stuart57565209d ago

An open world DMZ would be good. DC own Verigo and Warner Bros own DC, wishful thinking on my part!

-MD-5209d ago

I really hope that Ninja Turtles rumor turns out to be a real thing. I'd love to see a solid game from that universe.

Kran5208d ago

Hope so too. Wasnt into batman until AA and AC. Maybe they'll do the same with TMNT ;)

Rocksteady's New Game Director Is an Assassin's Creed Franchise Veteran

Rocksteady has hired a new game director that not only is an Assassin's Creed franchise veteran but even worked on the Batman Arkham games.

Blad3runner00238d ago

I wonder if ex Ubisoft employees put “worked on Assassins Creed” on their resume or not, as it would give an automatic red flag to avoid hiring them.

cloganart238d ago

Unlike what we may personally think, most AC games have received generally favorable critical acclaim and managed enough commercial success to warrant an uncomfortable amount of sequels. 😂

neutralgamer1992238d ago

A series which has sold over 200 million copies should be on your resume contrary to popular belief people doing the hire want to know if you have had success before

TheColbertinator238d ago

Plenty of gamers enjoyed Valhalla, Odyssey, Ezio's trilogy and the Origins. High critical acclaim and high sellers to boot. Get off your high horse.

Inverno238d ago

The vast majority of the industry follow the Assassin's Creed template for open world games. The issue is fanboys wanna act blind to the fact that all the issues they have with AC are present in all the open world games made in the last decade. While also not having touched an AC game in that long.

It could be great! He worked as Design Director on Arkham: Origins & Game Director on Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Valhalla and Origins.

I think this is a great sign that Rocksteady is shifting back to a Single Player experience after Suicide Squad. That's reason enough for me to celebrate.

YourMommySpoils238d ago

Time to copy and paste Altairman and his hidden batblade ability.

YourMommySpoils237d ago

But I thought GaaS was the future!

Christopher474d ago

Let's be honest, GaaS was the least of this game's issues.

HBO’s “The Penguin” Makes Me Want A Batman-Less Arkham Game

Shaz from GL: "HBO's The Penguin proves that you don't need Batman to tell a Batman story, which makes me wonder if the same could be done for a video game."

Enough of Batman less Gotham games

zsquaresoff531d ago

The only reason why anyone is watching this show is because it is in the 'Batman Universe'

GhostScholar530d ago

We got that with Arkham knights. Wasn’t great

GhostScholar530d ago

Yes I know it was called Gotham knights lol I said Arkham because if may as well been called that because it was basically a sequel.

Flewid638530d ago (Edited 530d ago )

Gotham Knights had zero connection to the Arkham series. Totally separate universe.

Rebel_Scum530d ago

Yeah no thanks. Not a fan at all of playing as other characters like Nightwing, Robin, Harley etc. Don't even like their detective mechanics much so Gordon is out too.

SPEAKxTHExTRUTH530d ago

Nah Batman is needed. I only want to play as Batman in the “Batman Universe “
