Eurogamers: Given the task of translating the much-beloved Uncharted franchise to Sony's shiny new portable, Bend Studio - best known for the Syphon Filter games on PSP - has taken on a huge weight of responsibility from the original series creators at Naughty Dog. By entrusting the team with the engine that drives the three console games, alongside a degree of freedom over the back-story of its leading characters, Uncharted: Golden Abyss sets out to be a fully-fledged adventure that is both essential to fans of the series, as well as early Vita adopters looking to showcase their handheld's graphical prowess.

The studio behind Days Gone had their next big project cancelled, but it's not entirely lost, as we have unearthed content from "Mirror Pond."
Sony could print money with Days Gone 2 but instead they want to make this live service crap. There are too many shooters already dominating the market. This does not look or sound unique in any way that will draw a huge playerbase other than the initial launch.
Bend wasted time so there's no need in wasting time talking about this. What are Bend working on now is the question.
I’m glad they took this hit for multiplayer games. First party single player is what got them to the top. There is room for them to make multiplayer games but they need to be much more selective about it.

Job listing reveals Bend Studio is hiring for a new high-budget multiplayer project after the cancellation of its last game.
An open world, multiplayer survival set in the days gone universe, with the hordes roaming around and a base building element would actually be decent if done right but I doubt it'd be that, I would much rather a single player sequel though.
We'll have to wait and see.
🤞🏽 Its a single player game with a multiplayer portion..... They can't be that dumb.
I guess Sony can't learn anymore. This isn't the Playstation we grew up with. Shawn layden should have kept over Jim Ryan, just imagine how different things could have been when someone who knew what he was doing was in charge

Sony's Bend Studio lays off 30 percent of its workforce following the cancellation of its live-service project.
Urgh. Jim Ryan’s sh***y GaaS plans still ripple across their studios even today.
Such a shame, they should have just been allowed to make Days Gone 2.
Sony need to truly let go of their live service plans once and for all.
Sony literally sent Playstation studios into a death trap!
They forced studios into this GaaS bs just cancel their games midway in development and fire thousand of people in the end!
WTF is happening over there? Why those CEOs still got to keep their jobs after billions and billions dollars invested in new studios and games just to so many developers fired and projects canceled in the end?
This is the worst generation of Playstation! Period!
Can't believe Sony has been shooting themselves in the foot this gen. Abandoning what made them great to chase industry trends
"in the context of mobile gaming in general, the technical accomplishment here is remarkable, and while Drake's latest adventure may not be his greatest, it's clearly one of the best releases in Vita's impressive launch line-up."
Indeed.. A technical masterpiece for PS Vita.
Also, I'm sure there will be a few more sequels to follow like it's PS3 brothers.. & with each title, Naughty Dog & Bend studio will strive to continuously push even more graphical power out of this beast of a handheld. :)
I believe this is very much only the beginning with the Uncharted series on PS Vita. Exciting times are ahead of us! :D
Why are a some Vita titles below the native resolution of the screen? Just curious because I prefer native over upscaled textures. They say it's because of the bandwidth of the buffer but I don't know if it's true or not.
