Two weeks ago, Harmonix created a software patch for the Sony PLAYSTATION 3 version of Rock Band that allowed for guitar compatibility and support for third party peripherals, including enabling use of Activision's Guitar Hero III controller with Rock Band. The compatibility patch was submitted, approved and had been scheduled for release by Sony on Tuesday, December 4. Unfortunately, Activision objected to the compatibility patch's release. The patch remains with Sony, but we have been told that it will unfortunately not be released due to Activision's continued objection.

Square Enix launches Final Fantasy X 25th anniversary site, revealing new Nomura art, books, music releases, and merchandise.
Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.
They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.
Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.
More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.
Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.
All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
or should harmonix patch xbox360 so it no longer support les paul?
I will not buy another game from you until u resolve this issue, bastards.
Signed Dan
This is ridiculous. Considering Activision's stance right now, when Guitar Hero IV ever comes out, who's going to want it. I haven't seen much DLC for GH3 lately...yet, WEEKLY for Rock Band. If this trend keeps up, by the time GH4 comes out, people will not care as much. We'll have our Rock Band loaded up with songs/albums...be playing THAT game (with our newer peripherals by that time). Activision has nothing to lose by releasing the patch....make your fans happy!
People should write a well written, but concise letter of complaint to Sony, Activision, the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and the consumer affairs department/Attorney General in your particular state.
It's important that you indicate in your correspondence that you are in communication with the Federal Trade Commission and the consumer affairs department of your particular state because they often have the ability to render considerable pressure even if there is little legally they can do. Additionally, no company wants an Attorney General or the FTC breathing down their necks.
