Am I the only one who is a little bit disappointed?
A cover system? That means gunfights...which is neat I guess, but so far away from what Resident Evil was.
The game is obviously fast paced, and there is melee, which means no more trying to escape the zombies, just take them on.
I miss the horror...

The graphics looks worse then RE5. I hope it greatly improves until the release.

A Chris Story and a Leon Story? Make a single player campaign for each, and then a different co-op campaign and more people would be happy. :)

you can barely see it but Leon slightly moves while aiming at 1:17 and 1:18 in the the trailer. Also looks to return to more traditionally survival horror atmosphere. I like what I see so far.

Stop complaining! Waaaah it has cover system, waaaaah its fast paced waaaah, well those controls and camera angles from the originals just wouldnt work anymore, dead space 2 was fast paced , and was pretty scary at times. I think it looks great!

It started great. The city, the quote "it's like racoon city all over again".

And then, a video of Gears of War re-skinned poped up and ruined everything.

Slow zombies with scarce ammo = horror. Don't make it too fast paced. I'm sure some people can agree with what im on about.

At least we have Resident Evil: Revelations, which is a survival horror game and not Gears of War with horror elements!

Holy CRAP! Leon have grown since RE 4 and Chris still look the same off of RE 5... CapCom may have the best RE game right here! Leon/Chris tag team is a God send for real! That other guy in the trailer who was doing karate seem like an interesting character... The game play might play like Gear of War series, why? Look at the trailer at 2:45 and you will see, and also the gun play seem like it will be much faster this time around as well...

Ashley have grown so much since RE 4, and to all the RE 4 players we all know how annoying she was on RE 4 lol... Hey guys, at the 2:49(mark) trailer who that female character? It's good to see the main characters are looking good in RE 6... I just wish that this game was coming out a little bit early, but oh well...

Take your time Capcom and make this game right...

I loved RE 5 and 4. This looked like a Wii trailer. In 2012.

I thought that capcom will go back to its roots with RE6, guess i was wrong.

This seems pretty good. I never once doubted Capcom in the Resident Evil department. I didn't like Resident Evil 5 due to it having more action than horror. But when I played the Lost in Nightmares DLC, I was like why can't the whole game be like this. Hopefully RE6 will give me what I wanted. Looking so forward to it.

First my beloved Metal Gear series now my Resident Evil?! everything seems like its turning into a Gears of War/Vanquish action type of game...

For those looking for that classic horror feel that we used to get back in the days from RE I would strongly recommend "Dark Souls".
This game to me is how RE should of evolved on to next gen consoles.

Camera angle is perfect the feeling of being alone is spot on and not knowing what is coming around the next corner is brillian.. everytime i play it i think RE should be like this.

Such a far cry from what Resident Evil used to be. These games aren't horror any more, they're action thrillers. Still, as games go it looks like it could be pretty good.

That was EXCELLENT. Looks way better than RE4 or 5. Zombies make me happy. Putting this on my radar... unexpected.

The comments have been really polarized on this. And I knew that would be the case as soon as I saw the trailer, but had not yet read any fan reactions.

What I seem to see here is no doubt the generation barrier. The under-25 group and the over-30 group clashing again, as always. There are those of us that played RE when it was new, and there are those that "maybe" played it on PSN for the first time and never experienced the dread of survival horror when it was a new concept.

It's not that I miss all of the mechanics and whatnot from the first 3 RE's. But I sure do miss the feeling I got from them. The music building tension combined with the atmosphere and mood. Never knew what one was going to see after that door loading-screen. Just haven't had that since RE3 and the early SH games. One would quickly bring up Dead Space, but I just didn't dig the completely derivative setting. And that game startled more than scared. Big difference.

With the current gaming tech, we should be able to have BETTER horror than ever before. Even BETTER than the first 3 RE's. I can easily envision what a horror game could be in terms of a modern presentation. I really mourn for the genre.

Can we walk and aim at the same time yet?

They are taking the series in the wrong direction. They need to go back to basics. They need to make it scary and atmospheric again. Now it seems they are putting the emphasis on action and fast pace. Its slowly turning into the movie franchise.

Its hard to get excited for this game after the trainwreck that was resident evil 4. Dead Space 3 would've been a more welcome announcement.
However the graphics, from the gifs, look very impressive- possibly graphics king. Too bad the gameplay is probably gonna be sub par.

Their games this gen like dead rising, res evil, street fighter, dmc and lost planet are good games yet you keep on bitching meanwhile most other japanese devs are non existant this gen.

Hard pass; also the first time I played RE6 was on XB1. Why the re-release? Unless they gave it a 4k 60fps update. Even with that I would never play it again! Quick Time gameplay with prompts?
